I just looked at this closer...if you extend your diagonal lines into the border you don't have to quilt it separately...I like to use a hera marker and ruler to extend those markings.

I quilted it by machine in straight diagonal lines. Thanks to the pattern, I didn't even have to lift the needle to complete the inner portion. Just pivoted the piece around. Loved it.

Great work, Janice! I often feel like the mini quilts take me three times as long as a lap quilt!

Janice, that is beautiful! Great movement and color play. I wouldn't have the patience to do it and have great admiration for the wonderful work you've done with this mini.

Everyone, congrats on all the wonderful finishes! Great inspiration.

Here's a finish for me, a practice quilt I had started years ago and got frustrated with. Decided to use it as a learning project, finish it, and pass it off. The 8 yo girl next door likes it and basically asked for it. What can I finish quickly for her younger sister? Hm-m-m I know I have something around here...

All2Pieces, love the fabric in your quilt (post #897). I can see why your neighbor wanted it.

Just now joining
Question? Is 'putting a UFO in a box marked "probably never finish" ' acceptible for the challenge? Then I know what to donate/finish&donate when the need arises?
