[QUOTE=Teen;8114905]Lol @ Batleaxe comments...too funny.
Irishrose2..... I know that feeling well....I picked up a half-done quilt at an estate sale once and quickly realized why it was only half-done.....I finished it and donated it with all its imperfections. Her legacy goes on...
I bought several bright quilt tops done by "grandma" at a garage sale, thinking I could cut them up for prayer quilts. Uhh- Grandma's machine's tension was so off it was all loopy and would never hold. Another member of our group took then home to take them apart and redo them. Not my thing. They have never returned and that was several years ago. No big deal - they are out of my house.

A real funny that happened to me. I would plan my prep day on Sunday and then have the procedure on Monday. So I drank my first bottle and about 2 or 3 p.m. I get "that feeling". Went to the bathroom and discovered that the sewer line had backed up. All my bathrooms are on the same sewer line. I ended up with my potty chair and called the plumber on Monday after the big deal!
The colonoscopy is one of the best things I ever did. I had some funny colored blood in the stool and my brother convinced me to do the colonoscopy. They found a polyp that tested 1 +. The dr. hooked on to the polyp and ripped it out. The pain caused me to wake up and I got up and took a swing at the dr.
The next one they did they asked, "How asleep do you want to be?" They all remembered me. We all lived and 6 years later I have no cancer thanks to the brave dr.

Battleaxe- hope the biopsy goes well. And definitely deserving of an exemption. Sounds like you got a great deal on the neutrals!
Silly Susan- Good job staying strong during the moment of initial temptation. The fact that you did not at that point act on the lust in your heart, but waited until overnight (perhaps subconsciously thinking the sheet might be gone) shows incredible fortitude.
It sure seems like everyone is doing very well. I lusted after a fat quarter bundle of that luscious Marcus designs muslin on the Craftsy website, but didn’t buy it. The fat quarters are dyed in the most delicious shaded colors and I bought one bundle last year with my birthday exemption. I haven't used it yet because it's too wonderful to open but I spend a lot of time taking it out of storage just to gaze lovingly at it (and also petting it), so it's not like it’s being neglected and I do believe that there is room enough in my heart to take in another bundle, but I am (so far) staying strong...

I’m using everyone’s unused exemptions trying to finish a couple of projects. The WOW I bought for my version of Hanging Gardens just didn’t work so I ordered more from Joann’s website. I’m in the mood to work on that but I have to wait for it to arrive. I also bought fabric for backing & binding my daughter’s UFO. I think I’m going to try QAYG on the 3 large sections of this one. Otherwise it will probably overwhelm my DSM. I used an app to calculate how much backing I’ll need. I certainly hope it knows what it’s talking about!

Battle Axe...OMG....hilarious....that must of been awful about sewer line. I wanted to punch my doctor too. Lol...
Proud of you, Rob.... I have alot of precuts I just stare at lovingly myself so I know the feeling. I'm making my way through them when inspiration hits but it's hard to whack into them. All the quilting emails I get drive me nuts with all the temptations but I just delete them. Hard to do..
Conchalea ...I've not tried QAYG method yet. I keep waiting for the right project to try it. Share how that goes for you.

Rob, thanks for the kind words. This fortitude stuff is really tough!! We just have to hang in there!
Battle Axe, what a hard time you had!! I'm so glad you survived both the bathroom problem and the pain with a sense of humor. I hate these "procedures". I landed in the hospital after the last one with colitis. No fun!! Hate it!! Hate it!!

Oh geesh...I flubbed up Saturday. Went to LQS to buy more forest green for my Classc Santa quilt and stumbled on this lusciousness ....3yd bundle of Northcott for only $12.00. That's $4/yd for Northcott. I have no plans for it....just fell in love with it.. It's from the Topsy Turvy line, which are all adorably sweet.... I did 20 push-ups to atone...
