Tohkatz68: Lovely finish and a great way to use stash!

Rob: I like your ‘mindful’ category.

I'm thinking you are still firmly planted in the wagon, Rob. Restocking blenders is a must, in my opinion. I just finished a quilt using a lot of my WOW stash....I use a lot of that so I'll need to replenish my stash eventually.

so here is my stash quilt... I used one entire FQ bundle that has been sitting on the shelf for awhile...plus my vast WOW stash. Backing will be from stash.... So, one FQ bundle down...a gazillion to go...lol

Oksewgald......this is one of the bundles from Tilda Fabrics I shared with you on the Kingwell thread..

Spent the day working on a YFO of sorts, but the best part is, I found sashing for the blocks in my bin of turquoise fabric. TaDa! That was grand, but the story continues. I went digging deeper in the same bin and found a large cut that will do for the backing! And then that's not all, I found white for a lattice and corner stones of the sashing for the blocks. Maybe a photo tomorrow or Monday when I can show some progress that is closer to the finish.

Six weeks of no fabric shopping and counting.

Bought some backing fabric today. 108” flannel marked down to $5.00/yd. Have two Florida tops to finish. Just use cotton flannel and no batting.

Teen, cool quilt! Looks like a great stash busting pattern.

One thing I have noticed: as the stash gets smaller, it is easier to find usable pieces in it. For the Bonnie Hunter mystery 2 years ago, probably bought about 10 yds. Last year, about 3. This year, absolutely none.

Lovely and delightful, Teen. I see that it is on point...what are you going to use in the setting triangles? WOW would be safe...you may have to buy some fabric, but the soft blues, grays or pinks on the edges might be interesting. Making it larger with a border of either colors may be an option as well. Okay just thinking here!!!!!

Thank you everyone....This is jelly roll friendly and one roll will make a lap size. The pattern is called Jelly Weave by Cluck Cluck Sew I just used FQ's instead and increased to twin size to use up all of the bundle..

Oksewglad.....I trimmed it so no setting triangles.. The trimmed triangles will be used to make another quilt...maybe a baby quilt. Lol..Lordy...

tohkatz68, I love your Road to Florida quilt; great use of those repro fabrics!

Teen, that is ever so beautiful! Thank you for the pattern info!

My kitted up quilts are turning out to be great leader/ender projects, which I hadn't foreseen. I would like your opinions on one of these, consisting of horizontal staggered strips using a repeated placement of a group of fabrics. I neglected to plan properly and ran out of that group of fabrics; this resulted in a squat shape that was slightly wider than it was long, rather than a rectangle. I don't need the quilt to be a certain size, but I think as a rectangle the proportions would be more pleasing.

I thought about adding a border, thin on the sides and thick top and bottom, but even with that the quilt would be squarish rather than rectangular. My question is, would you bring in a new group of fabrics to extend the quilt, if they were compatible with the original group of fabrics? The first photo shows the strips up on the wall, unsewn; the second shows the fabric I settled on to use as the possible border, and the third photo shows the partial quilt with new fabrics lined up along the bottom. So, what do you think you would do? Extend quilt with border, add new fabrics, or both, or neither?

Lovely colors and such a simple but eye catching pattern. Keep posting! You are an encouragement.
