Yes, I did purchase backing for some of my quilts, but most backing came from stash. Thinking that 2021 will be pink crazy. I have bin of pink that was hardly touched this year. Hope project Linus likes pink!
LOL same here. I'm thinking a Bear Paw of pinks. I love the scrappy versions but dont know if I have the patience for all this fiddly 2.5 squares. Might just keep it regular and aim for completion.

OOOO Pink bear paws! Love the idea. Thanks. I am a 2.5 addict and don't mind HST so that pattern would work for me. Now I want to get into the sewing room and start. No, No, No! Must finish at least one more UFO and a few more miscellaneous Christmas sewing project first. After the new year I will start creating pink bear's paws.

I finished the year with a large purchase (21m). My blender selection had been decimated this past year, particularly blues and greens. I hit the clearance section and picked up 11m to round things out a bit.

The remaining 10m was for a gorgeous line I have been resisting all year. I told myself if I remained in love at the end of the year I could reward myself for good behavior! Although 2020 hasn’t been without impulse purchases (2 charm packs and 2 panels) and it took a bit of searching to find a complete selection......I am now the happy owner of a very pretty stack of fabric. It is displayed in an otherwise empty storage cube as a monument to my improved self control

Thank you for the photo, Teen!

That looks just like a bookcase we inherited from DHs DGM, but ours is just two tiers high (and has piles of fabric sitting on top, LOL.)

So my trip to the LQS was successful. K bought nothing! She & her daughter went through many closets & unearthed even more fabric, so she's on a fabric diet. She did find some suitable for backing though.
I bought 2 fabric pieces for my still-unplanned western quilt. One is for the backing. It is a cream with line drawings of cowboys with cattle & the Alamo. I asked for 6.5 yards & it had 6.75 so I finished the bolt. Just in case my top needs some filler... So that bit was an impulse. The other is just over a yard of colorful cowboys on horseback, Texas flags, & the Alamo. I finished the bolt there, too. But now i shouldn't need any more fabric for that quilt, just a pattern! I want to showcase the cowboy fabric, so I'll look for layer cake layouts.

Good for you, Conchalea! Sounds like you kitted up your project and ready to go...

Here is the FQ bundle quilt I made this last week. Finished the borders today. So satisfying to power thru my precuts...
