The way I cut and pieced my units I will have to trim before joining the halves. my straight true edge is the bottom of the trapezoid, all trimming has to be to the top of the trapezoid.

Here are mine so far with my new neutral. Of course I picked out the ones that looked the best.

SandraP, those look great! And I like your new neutral and the spotted black fabric too! I have 20 of the 30 done! Hoping to finish up today as I really want to start on the baby quilt for my new granddaughter!

I tried the Easy Angle ruler for the first time last night on a different project. Oh I LOVE IT! All I had to do was trim one dog ear. I used to sew them oversized and trim all sides. What a time saver this ruler is. HALLELUJA!

Why Thank You Jeanne! I have 21 of the 30 finished now, will work on it more tomorrow. Feel like I am over the hump on the downhill stretch.

Wow! This is not an easy unit to sew. I think we should all be proud of ourselves.

My black will be a constant. Now that I have my test piece out of the way, I hope I can speed up quite a bit!

Sandra, those look great! I love your new neutral.

MadQuilter, that's just how I felt after using the ruler last year for the first time.

Love seeing all the progress. You all are amazing. I am using the draw a line through the square method and boy it is so tedious. I spend most of yesterday just cutting from my scraps. I have 11 sets done and will work a little each day as I bake Christmas cookies. I do check in each day to follow everyone's progress, suggestions and humor

do you think this group looks like martini glasses???

update: 26 sets done, 4 to go!!

i can't help the nerdy accountant in me from creeping out occasionally---did you realize there are 720 pieces in Clue#4 alone??? SEVEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY!!!!!!

i hope this is like giving birth----after it is all over and we have a beautiful baby Quilt we will forget about all the pain and suffering we went through to get it......

i think I am losing it......

Trust me, that's exactly the case. Why do you think so many of us are back for yet another Bonnie mystery?

I will warn you all however. Bonnie Hunter is the reason I own a longarm. Orca Bay just about killed me (and I did a 1/2 size) trying to quilt it on my domestic - all those string made it HEAVY! I bought a longarm when it was halfway done, and have never looked back.
