I have been following this thread since it started, and kept reminding myself... No new projects... No new projects ... guess what ... I have my fabric ready for my first ever Mystery Quilt. As a newer quilter, I have a small stash, so I decided to use Xmas fabric (no camera handy). We will see how it goes....

I'm going to try BH MQ, a first for me. I like all the chat, and help that you all so generously provide on this site. It's like a Quilt Bee. I have wanted to try one but last years kind of put me off. It was beautiful but more than I wanted to try then.
I have most of my fabric ready. I have decided to go with BH colors choices except for the pink,I am replacing it with lighter shades of lavender. When I get them all together I will post a photo. I'm getting so excited, this will be my first scrappy quilt!

I love that so many first timers are joining! The fellowship and the enthusiasm are the best part. If anyone is wavering please fall over, you'll like it.

First time for me doing either a MQ or one of Bonnie's quilts - new on both counts. Fabric all prepared (only had to buy the yellow as the rest I had in my stash) and I am so ready. Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to get the first clue on the day it is released...

Love the idea of a separate FB page for this quilt. Anyone else doing FB for this project?

Looking sooooo forward to starting!

Well, count me in. Finished Celtic Solstice back in May. Looking forward to this one. Bonnie says that it isn't as complex as CS, so it sounds like fun. Here are my fabrics. The blues lean a little toward aqua, with some teal, but I think I have plenty of variety. I'll probably be using a single neutral, as I have quite a bit of yardage in neutral. Counting down... 11 days to go!

How did you find the FB page? I looked on her blog but couldn't find anything about it.

Here is Bonnie's Facebook Page. It is called Quiltville's Open Studio. There is a lot of chatter there about Grand Illusion.

Beautiful fabrics, bennie! It will be so fun to see everyone's quilt. Even though many are the same palette, they will all have different personalities!
