The 6 children (5 boys, 1 girl) I think I'll use all her plaids and do a Square in a Square pattern. I'm dedicating the next two months to this project. I need to see how many hubby can take back and show his mom the end of July when he goes to visit.

Here's the label on the first grandma. All grandmas fabric was stored in her huge fabric closet. All the grand kids knew they were NOT allowed in there! Now they'll have a real Grandma treasure. (I hope lol)

Wonderful SheriR! Guess you know how special these quilts will be!!

Nice touch SheriR
Bojangles, sorry for loss and nice finish. Always touches my heart to see a quilt used as such. This weekend, I finished up five quilts. Yep, four baby quilts and one churn dash shirt quilt. I don't have photos yet, but I was so excited to get five finishes I just could not help but say something. |
SheriR -- holes in the middle? How interesting. Yep, you are doing a service for the whole family, so no worries about cutting into the fabric. Save some special pieces for a quilt for yourself...maybe pieces that you like and especially remind you of how special Grandma is.

QuilterMomma: Wow your on a roll. Congrats on the finishes, can't wait to see pictures.

Nancy, I sure am sorry to hear about you FIL. What a lovely way to share his quilt with him. Kudos to your hubby for thinking of that.
