Janice, great job on the finishes. Oh, don't worry your ironing board isn't the only one lonely for clothes .... my hubby retired the first of this year .... the ironing board only comes out when I need it for quilting!
QuilterMomma, congrats on another finish. |
Nice finishes Janice and QMomma. Feels good to have those done huh? Nice intricate quilting Beth and I love your coasters Janice. It will be awhile for me, on the road to Florida in the morning, get internet re-hooked, stuff unpacked and clean house. Will check in again when I can. Keep sewing ladies:)
|
Congrats on the finish Qmomma-- I really like those little pops of color!
|
Your quilts are so engaging, Rob. The black print here is a wonderful choice.
Beautiful coasters, Janice! |
There's a lot of lovely quilting in this one, QM. Congratulations and Toot, Toot!

Now there is some cute coasters Janice. Good job!!!!!
Here is one UFO finish and several more to get quilted before the quilt show. This one has not been sitting to long, just a year, but was intense to finish. Then a friend showed me how/where to paint to give it a little more modern feel than just quilting. I love it. |
Rob, lovely UFO finish. I really like the colors you chose to use. Toot, Toot!

Hey all, I have a finish for September. It's 22.5 inches square and has been hanging around waiting to get quilted for 2 years.

Thanks for the compliments everyone and love seeing all the other finishes!

Nice finish everyone.
I didn't finish a UFO, but I made a small 18" by 26" cat quilt for my new kitty we got a month ago. I used a cat panel and quilted the panel. The cat as been sleeping on my pillow above my head. She's so cute and funny. |
The above pic is a practice pic. I had ment to delete the pic before sending.

Congrats on all the great finishes everyone! Well done!! Love all the different looks and items.
Rob, is yours a modified Hidden Wells pattern? Has the look of it a bit. Great color choices! Love the coasters, so creative and using up all those bits and pieces. Jaba, so wonderful to do so much for others and be so productive of so much beauty at the same time. Allspots, I totally love your batiks! That purple is glorious! Qmomma, wonderful quilting! Nothing new from me, I took a tumble into the flower bed by the front porch that has put me out of commission for the past week and a half or so. I'm fine, just jumbled old fibro Fred into a temper tantrum. Fred is like a toddler, always throwing a snit for any old reason. LOL I have been working on a weighted textured quilt for my grandson who has high functioning autism and just wants a little extra comfort when life gets stressful. Also working on the brown Churn Dash quilt, but it got put aside for the tactile quilt. Hmm, does that make it a UFO when I get back to it in October? LOL, I already have request for 2 comfort quilts waiting for these 2 to get finished so not sure when I'll get back to a UFO. Maybe as a starters and enders project between the others? |

Lovely finishes, folks. I've been AWOL most of this month from this board. I've missed it. I have 7 finishes!!! Most were already quilted and waiting for thread snipping and binding (my least favourite part). Here are three and I'll take pics of the others tomorrow and post. All are prayer quilts (charity).

They all look so cozy, comfy, Belfry!
|
Belfreybat, I love, love your blue quilts. I never would have thought to choose those colors for a D9P but that makes such a pretty, calm and homey quilt, I think I am going to have to try it. I have lots of plaids, what a great idea!
|
Fantastic finishes, Belfrybat.
|
Belfrybat....congrats on the finishes. The second(blue) one could certainly be used here this morning. It is cold here and your quilt looks so warm and comfy. Like it a lot.
No finishes for me. I haven't done much sewing. There is just too much other 'stuff' to deal with each day. Each morning, I plan to sneak away to my sewing space sometime during the day but usually it never happens. |
Congratulations on all your finishes Belfrybat!
|
What beautiful, classic quilts, Belfrybat! Congratulations!
|
A finish for me. This QOV top was made from this tute
https://www.quiltingboard.com/tutori...n-block-t27578 I sewed 36 blocks, then found out my plan was too big for a QOV, so came up with a new design. Now I have 12 blocks to play with as this one used 24. No more log fabric to make more:( Can't upload picture...will try again later. |
Belfry, great finishes. Congrats on 7 finishes. Your quilts s/b greatly appreciated.

Rob -- your mini-quilt looks very much like the 3 Dudes quilt. I've made a couple from that pattern that I found on MSQC website.
Here are my other four finishes. I have four more ready to bind and hope to get them done in time for a church conference I'll attend next week. If I can sell 4 - 5 of the quilts, I'll get enough $$ for batting and backing for the next year. I don't usually sell quilts, but even though I have enough fabric to last me the rest of my life, I need to buy a roll of batting and more backings. What doesn't sell will go to one of the local nursing homes. All of these except the last one were finished 4 or so years ago but have been waiting for me to quilt and bind them. The last one is a Turning 20 but I only used 12 FQs to make it smaller. I like the TT for large quilts, but feel the blocks are much too large for a throw quilt. But it did turn out colourful! Pretty quilts! Hope they sell for you to have your supplies. :)
|
Belfrybat....congrats on another 4 finishes. Wonderful quilts. Hope you can sell some of them.
I am in love with the blue/yellow one and also really like the TT. The blue/yellow would be perfect for my bedroom. |
Belfrybat, those are fantastic finishes. Way to go.
|
You have reminded me of UFO's that need to be finished ASAP. Must get to it.
|
Excellent finishes Belfrybat!
Rob |
Belfrybat, Congrats on your very nice and colorful finishes. I like all of them, can't decide which I like better. I hope you sell enough to buy your backing and batting. good-luck.
I'm 95% done or room organizing. Then I can get back to my UFO's and 3 new projects I have boxed up fabric to start making. I can't wait to get back to my sewing and quilting. On Saturday I will take 2 finished quilt tops to my LAQ. One of those will be an UFO. The other was a work in progress. FYI: VQA starts this Friday or Saturday. Hope to see many of you on that site. Happy sew/quilting every! :sew::wave: |
I'll catch up shortly and then post September's tally. Thanks!
It's been my pleasure to keep tabs on all of the UFOs you've been finishing for this year and last. I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your fine work. But when this year's challenge ends on New Years Eve, I'll be stepping down. Is there anyone out there who would like to host this challenge for 2018? |
Thank you, Janice, for hosting this group for the past 2 years! You have been an awesome leader!
Connie |
Wow, 7 finishes! Congratulations and Toot, Toot Belfrybat! All beauties. (You posted on Oct 1 so I'll add them to October's tally.)

Awesome quilts Belfry and congrats on those finishes!
Wildyard, I hope you will be getting back into the swing of things soon. Fred sounds a bit troublesome, did you send him my way? I have developed Pereonal Tendonitis in the foot. I am sending him out to the ocean for awhile ok? Wow Janice, stepping down? I always enjoy your beautiful compliments to us all and keeping track so well. |

Oh, and this is a finish, not a UFO, but a finish. I had to hand dye the jacket and those pintucks in front take some time. I quilted the rest of the outfit. Will be on display at Pacific International Quilt Show in Santa Clara, CA.

Wow QM! that is spectacular!
Rob |
Oh wow, QMomma! Simply luscious!
|
Whoa, baby! That is a fabulous dress and jacket. Is it made of silk?

Fall Half-Log Cabin
1 Attachment(s)
I finally got another one of my Half-Log Cabin quilts finished and only have to do the binding on another one so will post a photo when I'm done. I've taught this class several times so I always make new blocks and have quite a few quilts, plus blocks to make more.
|
QMomma...WOW! Fabulous work.
