Congrats on your finish, Such pretty projects completed Glogean.

Great table runners
i am really enjoying the inspiration this challenge gives!
lots of pretty quilts to see... lots of ideas for the future... now ... if i can resist the temptation to once again set aside my own pile of UFOs to start something new inspired by the UFOs others have finished. lol |
Glojean, your embroidery WH is lovely. Love the darling buttons. :) And the colors and fabric on the shaded flower applique are beautiful. Congratulations on both UFO finishes! Toot, Toot!

I was in the 2016 UFO challenge and actually finished 10 quilts, in addition to starting new ones. This year I'm jumping in again - it's definitely an incentive to get things done. This month I have been finishing a lot of small embroidery projects that I'm making into small wallhangings. I also finished this shaded flower appliqué that can be used as a wallhanging or a table runner. Now onto finishing a couple more embroidery projects.....
woohoo Glojean! Two lovely finishes!
I almost missed this one. This is the UFO you referred to in your earlier post I believe so congratulations. And Toot, Toot for your first finish of 2017! Welcome to the Challenge.

January is swiftly coming to an end. Please be sure to get any UFO finishes in as soon as possible so they can be added to the tally. Remember, please post pix when possible as we all like to drool over your accomplishments! It's easier when we can see your completions. And please remember to mark your finishes as UFO FINISHES so I don't miss them. Thank you!
Rolling, rolling, rolling along... |
Beautiful work, Glojean! That table runner is so pretty!

"Upload file failed" is the message I keep getting when I try to post a picture. I have done it in the past, not sure what has gone wrong.

Here's some bindings finished! I've been quilting and binding through my backlog of tops all month. Whew! My 10 year old son took the pictures, so my apologies for them being fuzzy....I've got to help him with his technique! :)
Crazy X's Butterfly Gathering Grandma's Baskets Halloween! |
Definitely try a different browser and also make sure your picture file isn't enormous. I try to keep my pix to 200kb or less. If they're too big, the upload fails. Hope that helps so we can see your accomplishments. :)

Wow, wow, wow! Congratulations on getting four quilts off your UFO stack. What a productive month you've had. They're all wonderful, each in their own way. TOOT, TOOT!

Kristi, great finishes one and all but I adore your Grandma's baskets!! The layout is great and gives a clasic block a modern twist! Fabulous!!
Jeepers Kristi you have been b-u-s-y! Great finishes.
Whoa! Kristi! You've been on a roll! Good job on 4 beautiful finishes.
Rob |
Great quilts like them all
Wow, Kristi! You have been going strong!! Great job!! I love the first one - it gives me some ideas of what to do with some of my scraps. Thanks for sharing!!
Haven't worked on any UFOs, but maybe this next weekend. I am still working on the wearable art entry.
Love the table runners, very pretty. Cool Kristijoy. Love the Grandma's basket setting. that is cool.
Great job, Kristi! I'm sure you'll enjoy the embroidery - it's all I've been wanting to do this month.:-)
I always say when I'm off the grind a few days around the thread you quilters show your stuff. Good work to the finishes. Still working on the UFO that I found not making much progress. Keep sewing
<sigh> ......... I did more unstitching than stitching today. I'm beginning to really dislike Jack ...... the ripper ........
Love seeing all the latest finishes, especially the Shaded flower table runner by Glojean48 on page 32. I don't think I will even begin to have a UFO finished before middle of summer. Supposed to have another snow storm in next few days plus I have to make some other sewing projects that are priority. But get so much encouragmet from all of your photos. Thanks everyone!
Sync: I feel your pain with the seam ripper! I used it quite a bit on paper piecing last night. I decided to make my strip wider and longer to get the corners and, low and behold, the author of the quilting book sent out a correction today. :). Yep-2.5" wide instead of 2" wide. At least I problem solved the width correctly.

It's a bummer when life gets in the way of UFO finishes! Thanks to all who have shared their quilts...hopefully I can get a couple done in February...
I have the mickey mouse quilt sandwiched and ready to quilt! it will be my project for Feb, If i can figure out how to post pictures I will do so
Great job Kristi! You go girl!!
I have finished 2 pillow projects for this month. Yay for me! One for my daughter, and other for her friend. (sorry no pics) Glad to be making a dent-however small-in the ufo pile! ;) |
Those are lovely Kristi! WOW
I got the baby quilt finished. Awful quilting, but whose looking. I actually took a picture. Now, if only I can find the correct cord to get the picture into the computer. This quilt was not friendly from the get-go. But it is done, I'll get it in the mail tomorrow. I'm ready to start another one. Just hope the machines will work better. Using a thin batting this time. Will also check tension before I begin. I'll get used to having a 2 yr old here again.
GloJean: beautiful!!
There are so many pretty ones. Wish I could make them all. But first things first, these UFO. |

Here's my first UFO finish in months. It's about 18 1/2 square and all it needed was for me to finish the binding.
I machine quilted it but honestly, it's a terrible job. (The grainy pic is no accident.) But it is finally done. One down...and a little toot, toot for me. :) |
Toot toot!
Congrats to you Janice on your finish.
Little toot is still pretty.
Kristi, you really make interesting quilts! Congrats on four great finishes!
Toot, toot, Janice! That's so pretty! |
I actually completed a UFO this month too!!! I am so excited. I am working on sewing down the hanging sleeve and the label then I will get a picture to post. Now to figure out what project to tackle for Feb.
Good job Janice!
