This is my first mystery quilt, so I wasn't expecting the reveal this soon...

In one way, I love the reveal - it's a gorgeous quilt!
In another way, I hate it, because she's crammed so MUCH stuff still to do in this last little bit...

I completely understand that her travel itinerary is what dictated this, but still...

However, I am not really complaining, as I am very grateful that Bonnie does this for us. Her motives are pure (doing something for those people who don't really have family stuff during the holidays) and the pattern is free, so I am very appreciative of all the work that she puts into this for us.

I'm back home from visiting the grandbabies... little boogers wore me out, so we're not going to church tonight. Bad on me, but if I did, I'm afraid I'd fall asleep during the message, even though we're Pentecostal (which means our services can get pretty loud and boisterous.)
Instead, I'll see if I can get clue 6 finished (I started on Friday before we left) and clue 7 started... then MAYBE get everything assembled tomorrow before I have to return to work on Tuesday.

I'm loving everyone's pics!!

Okay, there is a reason I never follow patterns, I always, always change something! I was hoping this MQ would prevent that, but here we go... a confession: I was playing around with some units and my DH said he prefers this design over EnProvence. I have worked so hard for this MQ and I'm torn between which design. Help! I love both!
This looks very much like Celtic Solitice, which I want to make someday.

Beautiful color choices! I like this one!

Love the circular effect of this block.

However, the more I look at this the more I think you should make one small exchange....

The top right and top left neutral 4-patches - if you were to exchange these with a square to match the adjacent dark tri-rec outer triangles, then this unit would create a secondary star pattern when the blocks are assembled.

Why not try it and see?

This is a REALLY large block pattern! Still unsure how well it is going to look sewn together. I do think the pattern shows up more with less scrappy, more "quiet" prints. oops, I just noticed my outer green/yellow hourglass units are not in the right place too.

Jeanne -- putting the pieced sashing on really spices up the colours. That is going to be one gorgeous quilt.

My yellow turned out way too bright but thankfully I haven't cut it yet -- just auditioned it in the block. I have almost no yellows in my stash so tomorrow will go look through the bins at the storage unit, but if neccessary will buy a yard since the bright is just not going to work.

JeanneS, I agree with you. I'm glad I haven't used my yellow yet! The scrappy yellows I was going to use, I believe won't look a way that I will like in the finished pattern. The are too strong, and will draw the eye away from the stars. I prefer for the stars to show more. I'm so glad to have seen the reveal first! Now I can decide what I'll like better by looking at it both with the yellows I had, or by using something 'quieter' as you mention. (You have your green/yellow/neutral QST turned the wrong way in the picture. We'll have to pay careful attention on sewing this block together!)

Belfrybat, My thoughts exactly. We were typing at the same time. I agree, my yellow is too bright. I think I'll change it.

". I do think the pattern shows up more with less scrappy, more "quiet" prints."

I agree, Jeanne S. I see more patterns with more uniform fabric choices.

NZq I like the circle, but before I made anything to permanent I would lay out several blocks and get the long view to see if you liked it from the distance and if you miss any secondary design or get some you don't want.

lawsonmugs, did you mean to have your purple tri recs going the opposite way as Bonnie's?

I kinda liked that!
