Quilt Challenge!

Here are 3 of my scrappy quilts. All were made with scraps on hand. I didn't have to buy anything to finish them.

Very Pretty Feathers!! Your Hanky Panky quilt blocks do look like they use a very similar quilt block to the Squares within Squares quilt block that I used on my scrappy quilt. I love your quilts!! The Star quilt is beautiful too! Did you have to dig into your stash or did you have enough scraps? :D

Pam:
I'm very fortunate to have a quilt teacher who knows that I do lots of charity quilts so she passes on garbage bags of scraps to me about every other month. She makes tons of quilts and teaches lots of classes so she has alot of scraps all the time. I just got 2 more bags from her a couple weeks ago. All I've done with them is color sort them. They are just beautiful pieces of fabric...some 1/4 yard, some 12 inches, some 40 inches by 5 inches...whatever she cut off a quilt or had left over from a quilt she made as she said she doesn't particularly like using the same fabric in another quilt after she's already used it in a quilt. I'm very lucky to get her hand-me-downs. I also get her left over batting..perfect sizes usually to put in table runners and placemats. I was making neck cushions for awhile for the nursing/VET hospital folks so used the small bits of batting inside the cushions. That's the story of why I have 20 big plastic tubs of scraps!

Wow Feathers!!! Sounds like you will stay well supplied with scrap fabrics for all your quilts! It is great that you make & donate a lot of your quilts!! That is wonderful! They are always beautiful! Did you see that cute Maverick Star pattern on Quiltville .com? I thought that would be a fun scrappy quilt! June told me about their Scrappy Trip Around the World pattern & I thought that would be a neat one to try too.
