Linnie, You asked about a good dessert for Christmas Dinner. We have had Cherry Cheesecake for years, and that is always their request. The 8 min. cheesecake is good and so easy. Failure-proof also. I usually make a cake also, as the little kids like that better than the cheesecake.Mariah

Lots has changed in my family since my husband left and now my dd lives with him.
I am doing my best to keep Christmas traditions going for my ds.
We will have cheese fondue (prepackaged, yummy and not a lot of work) with bread, steamed veggies and sliced meats on Christmas Eve. I have invited some new people this year.
Christmas Day I have served brunch for many years. Ds has asked me to do that again this year. I have no idea who will be there, I have invited my dd and ex-husband. I make a variation on a wife saver with berries or apple cinnamon topping, served with thick sliced bacon and sausages. In the past there have been lots of extras, but this year, I have to watch the budget, so it will be a bit more basic.
DS and I have been invited to a friend's parent's home for Christmas Dinner. Not 100% sure if we will go yet.
I am doing my best to keep Christmas traditions going for my ds.

Since our older kids live out of the state, it is just the college kids and DH here---not as crazy as usual---and we miss it!
We will have glazed ham, cheesy potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, sweet potatoes, TONS of Christmas cookies for dessert. (maybe a cheesecake since I found a super recipe). Since I am still recovering from Achilles surgery, this must all be done on a scooter and will the kids helping.
Christmas eve has always been potato skins and shrimp cocktail...
