Good morning! I should have mentioned that I used my GO cutter to cut all those squares...

Anne, that's a good exercise and will strengthen your ankles. In my Silver Sneakers class we do that same movement, but with a stretchy exercise cord under our feet, crossed between the knees and then pulled up snug at the waistline. It's the same but with some resistance added. Gets the hips burning too!

I usually just want to stay home and hide from the crowds on the 4th... Will be grilling outside and eating watermelon with dh and ds... and wishing America a happy birthday!

    Happy 4th, everyone!

I'm going on my first shop hop on Saturday. I could look to see if any of the shops participate with the license plates-- if anyone wants one from Michigan. Let me know if you do, then I'll pick one up for you. I'm assuming the things are fabric and people use them to sew something?
QNS, yes, I got your message and will look into the books you mention. The pdf you sent me was for making paperpieced 4" blocks, so I'm not sure if you meant to send a different pdf with Stack and Whack ideas or if you meant to send the pdf you sent. I'm always glad for new patterns though, so thank you! :-)
SBG, I usually wait for the Pellon Wool batting to go on sale at JoAnn's before I buy it. I like wool better than cotton. Do they have full bolts of wool batting left? Unfortunately, I don't have a Hancocks going out of business near where I live.
Honchey, That is a funny mental picture, seeing you walking sideways with knees bent. :-)

Givio - I would like a license plate from MI! I'll send you one from CA in return! I found some really cute ones at a Quilt shop in Thousand Oaks, CA. I don't know if the Ventura (my hometown) shop has them, her website did not show any. Send me your mailing address in a PM.

I figured you had a cutter of some kind SBG! I cut my scraps into Bonnie Hunter sizes with my Sizzix Big Shot.

Givio, yes, they are fabric license plates and people put them in their quilts or make tote bags with them. They sell from about $5 to $8, depending on the shop. I bought a few to trade and still have one left, if you would like to trade. We have been swapping 'one for one', regardless of price. PM me with your address if you want to trade.

Happy Independence Day...it's been a beautiful weekend here with temperatures in the 70's....Windows are open and the birds are singing...think the orioles are scolding me as I must refill the feeders.

I've spent the last few days making a couple of minis for the hospital auction. One is 5 little dolls and the other a log cabin type...9 3" blocks with quarter inch finished pieces. They must be delivered tomorrow, quilting and binding to do yet..

It's been quiet here as the Grands spent the weekend at the other grandparents...The quiet will be over soon... better get to stitching...

Gladdie, sounds like you have a busy sewing day today... I have some charity quilts to sandwich and quilt today too. Delivery is tomorrow night! I can work on them some tomorrow too, so not worried....

Good luck on the computer change-over QNS. Hope all goes smooth as silk.

Happy 4th, everyone! Happy Birthday America!

I took a nap this afternoon. We finished all the old hens off this morning; they were filled with fat and not laying any more. Wil make excellent roast hen or boiled old hen and noodles.

DD has backed up all of my computer files onto dh's computer, so tomorrow she can download it back on to the new computer. I may have to have someone help me to get back on line here because I do not remember any passwords! Please alert the monitors here to help me change my password if I do not log in by noon, Central Daylight Savings Time. Thank you.

Hi, ladies, remember me LOL??? I know I haven't been here in awhile. Health problems, destruction then construction and so many things going on. I've tried keeping up with posts but my wifi and internet have been intermittent. I think things are close to being back to normal and I can get my inner peace back! Made two minis, a compass star and wedding ring. I'll try to get some pics and share them. Please know I think about all of you and have missed yinz.
