What kind of glue do you use? So far my use of glue on fabric has been unsuccessful.

    :-(

my basics are seam ripper velcowd to my machine cause I misplaced so many times before doing that, and I also use it as my stilletto ,thread snips, and my eyes are bad so I have to have my needle threader cause without that I wouldn't be able to thread the needle in order to even start to sew. For hand sewing I love my self threading needles.

Very close to my right hand is my magnetic pin cushion w/pins, then a cup full of goodies (small scissors, tweezers, 12" ruler, pencil, marking chalk pencil, stiletto) and to the right of that a small wooden bowl(DH is a woodworker and this was one his rejects) of scraps that I use for leaders. I figure after eight years of quilting that the things closest to me are the ones I use the most.

My small scissor snips.. and the long, flat edged-bent tweezers that I got with my Curve-Master foot.
(I'm ashamed to say that I got the Curve-Master foot at festival 2 years ago and still have yet to use it.. but I've used the hades out of those tweezers!)

But the best thing is using the small "Command Adhesive" hooks to hang them from the left side of the front of my machine.
They are always there when I need them!

FYI - cheaper suction handles for your acrylic rulers:
Look at Harbor Freight for "Suction Cup Lifters"
They are much cheaper than the "quilting" versions.
    I love mine!

I keep a small, tabletop ironing board and a travel iron, which is just the right size for the ironing board, on the table next to my machine. That way I have no excuse for not ironing as I go.
