Oh, goodness, wish I have been able to read this before I left town. My son and DDIL were in that area on their anniversary trip and antique shopping. They could have snagged me one of them. :( I did text them and told them to BOLO for a treadle for me.

Next time, I'm going to have to take my puter with me so I won't miss anything!! Went too long with CL and QB!!

The 99 is the same as the 66 just a 3/4 size machine. They both have a drop in bobbin. They both are horizontal oscillating hooks. The 66 has a normal 14 3/4 size bed, the 99 has a 12 1/2" bed. They take the same class 66 bobbins, the same feet (except for the early 66's which had side clamping feet). The 66 was made from 1902 until about 1960, the 99 from 1923 till about 1963. Also, the 99's were never as ornate as the early 66's, i.e., Redeye, Lotus. Hope this helps!

ok everyone, I have more info from the Pensacola CL listing!!! The prices on some items are a little out of my league, but I've got the info if anyone does want to give a few of these a new home.

1890's Model 12 = $175
Featherweight 55 = $350
White immaculate looking FW (not sure year) = over $400
Pfaff (that is really pretty) not sure year, fancy like the VSM Singers = over $400
Willcox & Gibbs over $400
(my girlfriend who live down there stopped getting prices because some were too high)

EB, the machines you are talking about are reproductions of the original Singers. Do these machines have the Sphinx, Redeye, Lotus decals? The repro's used the really ornate decals of the originial Singers to replicate a new version of the vintage machine. These repro's are a little over the top - not like the original decals, almost an enhanced version of the originals. Can you post a picture of these machines for us to see them? They are probably from the late 1980's or 1990's. Also, just for your information this repro's are not the quality of the original by any means! Actually, the information I found on the machines with ND- to NY serial numbers is that those machines were made in Taichung, Taiwan.

Nancy, the Redeye is mine mine mine ~ I have always adored those, and she's mine! yay! I am so excited, she is a 1916, table is kinda plain, but I don't care. She is up and running, and my girlfriend will be picking her up Tuesday.

Here are pics of the Pfaff & Model 12 ~ I didn't see the serial #, but its in the late 1800 era... I would LOVE to have this Pfaff, she is really really pretty. But my air conditioning compresser just blew on my car yesterday, so that will eat up what I could have used for her. Bummed, very bummed...
