OK ... For my scrappy quilts, I have been trying to include one of every fabric together somewhere in the quilt, where I can easily point them all out to someone and they can count.
For this one ... I'm planning on the Postage Stamp block (#68, I think?) and I'll do as many blocks as are needed to include all!

FYI #51+52 are now posted.
It sure was nice to have a couple of simpler blocks, and it looks like the next few aren't too wicked!
The 50's will take longer to move thru, as none got done during my hopscotch times!

Hello All!!
Just some thoughts here ... when I went last week, I took along both my FWS and PC books to read. I re-read all the FWS stories about farm life and daughters marrying farmers!! Talk about a trip down memory lane ... reminded me a LOT of my own life. Growing up with parents raised in the era of the original letters. While Canadian, the same core values, and themes came thru. And how they transferred to my own ideals on life.
For me, it made for a time of introspection, and deep reflections, as to why I am the way I am! OK, another confession here ... yes there was a tear or two. I think because I read them "together" it hit me more this time, than when I'd read them before, somewhat scattered.
What thoughts surfaced for each of you while reading the letters?

Alas! I crossed the 100 marker .... and have just posted blocks #91 thru 100 for those interested.
Yesterday was to be Pony Club day, though I never got there. I did some cooking, baking and laundry and then went back to FWS instead. Now I'm starting to think about setting PC aside til I get all the FWS done, being that I'm so close to the end. Last night I was choosing fabrics for the next blocks and felt like I was going cross eyed. While I have all the blocks on my design wall, I just couldn't "see" what fabrics/colours, I'd used too much or too little. Or what I needed to get in there to make it all blend together. arrggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!
And then ... am I crazy? I'm starting to think of doing a "few" more blocks, so my FWS can be square! NUTS?

Ok, QE, I'm not going to comment on the "am I crazy?" LOL. I think we all are that did all these little blocks with a bazillion pieces! I have to go check all your posted blocks-bet they're beautiful. I love looking back at the blocks (knowing I'm not doing them LOL). Stop putting so much pressure on yourself--you must never sleep. You've accomplished so much in such a short time. I'm off to check out your blocks!
