It was #34.99 + s&h. It's 10" x 12" & I find that it's the perfect size for what I'm doing. I got it for my birthday present to me! I do give myself the best presents!
LOL, I do something similar Kathy. I am divorced now, so instead of buying my H (not a DH any more) a birthday present, I buy myself something, and I'm more generous to me than I was to him!

Oh heck girls...when I buy myself a present....I go whole hog!!! Last one was my Bernina!! This year, I'm thinking I need a new wrap for my engagement ring. I wear 2 wedding bands and after 28 yrs...there is barely enough to see they are sooo thin. My engagement band is rather wide but with all the turing the wedding bands have worn almost totally away! It might be a combo anniverasy/birthday present..we'll see...

Oh, Patti, what a lovely idea. After all, you should be able to sell the idea to DH 'cos they would be a whole lot cheaper than a Bernina, right? I love my bling - I wear a lot more than I used to when I was married, DH thought it was a big waste of money that could be put to use in lots of better ways.

Good for you Patti, you have to tell us what you decide to buy, tht sounds like fun. I used to do that to buy myself a present but I did feel guilty. then when I met Colin he was so good to me I never had to do that again.

When DH & I were in the early stages of marriage, I was a little put out that he didn't buy me gifts for anything! I mentioned it once to MIL who told me that her DH - my DH's dad was the same way. It's not that they don't want us to have something, they both just hate shopping so much. I'm supposed to understand. Yea, right. Anyway, she told me that she just bought her own gifts, but to make sure that I spent way more than he ever would have spent!!!. That worked out great, however, I think he decided to shop for me at Chrsitmas one year as for our anniversary, I went out & bought a CAR!!! He had been telling me I needed a new one as mine was approaching 100,000 miles. I guess he's worred that 100,000 is a magical number & the car will vaporize then!

That Christmas, he bought me diamond earrings! His shopping episodes have ended, so I'm back to getting my own. Don't really mind as I get what I want.

DH and I haven't bought each other gifts for year. If either of us wants something, we usually buy it for ourselves. I do remember when we were first married he and his brother used to go Christmas shopping together with a bottle or two of wine. My SIl and I got some really great presents. The BIl got divorced and hubby had no one to go shopping with, so that ended. But it's fine, I get what I want one way or another.
