Glenn where do you get these machines! That Peerless is just gorgeous - I already told you that didn't I?!!!!!!!

Charlee, you never answered my question about what you'd be willing to spend on a W&W #8 in the cabinet? I offered $100 and you said you'd get that one! Would you give them the $250?

    Nancy
    Hi Nancy,
I find them like just like anyone else. Off of CL and antique shops. Here in Alabama the antique stores say they can't sell them so we get them for very good prices usually $100 or less. But we have to go looking often at these stores. And of course leads from friends who know we like old sewing machines. I am getting picky so only look for ones in good shape now or one that says take me home.

Small world--I was born (and ended back up in) Wichita Falls. Lived in Denton for a while when young, then went back and spent a couple of years at UNT myself. Decatur seems so big now! It has such a pretty court house and square.

Like the idea of the crochet spool pin pad.

Do they make reproduction Singer treadles? Only thing I can think of to explain why the seller says this machine is a 1973 model. http://fresno.craigslist.org/atq/2614080163.html

Had the same problem with my FW. I ended up just giving up and getting another foot controller. Sorry. :(

It is a 306, similar to the 319, except fewer stitch choices.
