i must say that all of the blocks are just gorgeous.

i am working on block 11 now and hope to have it finished and on to the next one soon (along with all my other projects).

the track would be better if DS had not lost his job and is homeless.

i am going to get myself back in the wsing of things (ie. housework, quilting and all) if it kills me lol

Luv, welcome back to AOTH land! Missed you & hope you are well. Sorry about DS. We recently had a personal bout of that unemployment stuff, but DH is working again since last October after 1 1/2 years off.

    Happy stitching.

    Hi All,
back for the month of August, been working on my AOTH with new Singer featherweight - just to try it out - quiet machine, just hums along. Working on borders for center - will have some catching up to do now - all the blocks that have been posted are absolutely beautiful, what a wonderful array of work that has been posted while I was away. Vacation starts again in Sept and back mid Oct. I will love being at home again for awhile.

I traced 8 more blocks today and I traced the pattern pieces so I can just pick out the fabric and be ready to take my blocks with me when we go camping. We are staying close to home in this heat but we have a get away planned for Sept. My oldest daughter is getting in Oct. and I will be driving to S. Fla. in Aug. to celebrate DGGS first BD. I can't stand to have idle hands. I ordered my back ground fabric for DJ; I need to take the time to finish the lessons for the EQ software. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all had full time maids & cooks so we could quilt all day?

Mousie, I'm so sorry to learn your DD is in hospital. I have 3 DDs and 2 of them have health issues with cancer. My #2 is due for surgery but she babysits her DGS while my DGD works. I may end up going to south FL to help out. I hope that all goes well and I know you will enjoy those GC. Keep us posted on how things turn out.
