I know the fabric you're talking about!l I almost ordered it. Hope you had fun camping.

Oh I daren´t look at any more fabric at the moment, going to plod along with what I have for the time being till I run out.

Going to wash my fabrics in the sink method and see what happens to the dark colours will try a few lights just in case I see Yellow is a baddy and bleeds a lot.

Yes sure will post on how to do this. It will be better to do this because it will show all the pretty quilting on the back and I like that- It weill be nearer the time though ladies got a lot on at the moment and need to one more block of AOTH before I can show you.

Okay off to take my 3 dogs for a walk, not so nice here to day bit overcast again

Okay update, beautiful day now sun is shining a bit windy.

I washed my very darkest Batiks and my lightest just one of each to see how it went. Result was the did NOT bleed. I think they are probably very good batiks I was given them by a dear friend on the board, sorry I can´t remember the name of the batiks.

Hope y'all are having a good day.

    Elle

    Good morning all,
Luv, that is a pretty border fabric.

Elle, I too would love to hear about the QAYG.

I am enjoying reading about all the plans everyone is making, Keep 'em coming. I need to wait until at least April to finalize and buy anything for this project....need to focus on what I am doing now and get things finished.

So Ducky, are you going with the chocolate brown background? I'd love to hear about which fabrics you are going with.

BTW, did you all see Patti's DJ quilt? It is bsolutely, spectacularly magnificent! She posted it in the Pictures section.

Elle, glad your batiks didn't bleed. It might be a good idea to check a corner of each one as you add more to the mix though, just to test them. I haven't had the batiks shrink on me, but I have had them bleed. That includes the expensive ones from the LQS. So..there is no guarnentee!
