I think it's a great idea and let me tell you I admire this woman. She works full time, has a young child and has severe health issues plus helps run swaps. She doesn't whine about it she smiles and helps us all with our groups. I have health issues myself, have young kids at home and whine constantly about this or that. I am going to take a little time to reflect on how wonderful April is. Thank you April.

the counter if still full of all those beautiful jars of jam.. only one taker my hubby.. sigh. he loves strawberry jam and I fear there might not be much left if he gets at it. eats it with a spoon good thing I make low sugar still a ton of sugar in it sigh..

got one block for anastasia in rubys done and Aprils heart block. another set to cut tonight.. gonna go take a short nap however so I dont mess up the measurements. I am grand at seeing cut 4.5 and cutting a nice long 4.25 strip for no apparent reason like I check it twice before I cut do the finger, block on block two across the cutting tool and I see I have it right only to see.. oh noyou didnt. how to not end up with enough fabric and rethinking your pattern .. so slow is good. that scant quarter inch sorry it sucks. it should be 1/4 inch and thats it, blocks then be 12 inches period and well thats my opinion. I am now using kellys technique of cutting up 1/4 if you have a block onto of a block sewn together then cut into two units.. you can trim down you can not however trim them up.. it is working. ALSO blue tape showing the quarter inch line going from just infront of needle to down the front of machine, painters tape works wonders. Then I eye it closely so its exactly a toothpick size away from that line as itmoves into and under the needle and tada almost no trimming at all.. why machines dont have that line if everything needs a stupid scant 1/4 inch why isnt it on the machine already? new design is what they need lol my new low end brother.. is way easier now to get that line than my old old singer. dont know why but its true. holds the fabric moves easier and its easier to gage and move with the fabric. all else fails nexxus pencil mark that just under quarter inch mark on the back (ok use a quilters pencil) and then sew on that line only til your eye is trained to get it. just my humble opinion.. I am just now getting it most of the time and freely admit that was my nemisis and still is.

Ever have one of those sewing decades? That's how I get UFOs!!!

I received marcialee's F8 today. Sorry...putting that beauty in my stash and replacing it with something else. Did my F8 make its way to you?

And...I received this beauty from Chewboo:

    BTW - Loving this swap!
Fraew, yes I received your F8th. I believed I listed it with others prior to getting it, but if I forgot I apologize. Glad you liked my fabric. I think it will be a beautiful wedding quilt.

hey everyone, wishing you a grand day once again. should be beautiful its nice and cool this morning 50 which is a pleasant way to start the day.. ready for fall to show up. I love the fall. If you had a business card and some ofyou do by the way, or a calling card what would you put for your picture on it? I would have fall pumpkins and leaves. I love the fall. btw where does one get those things? I need printed labels for the next swap and wonder so many of you have them and well it sure does look easier than hand writing it all.

better get quilting. company tonight for dinner (joy) and then the kids are coming tomorrow for a few days and my house does NOT look like Jabas (hers is perfect I swear) and well busy busy busy and its my good day. Maybe I will hide and they cant find me? hand out dark glasses and lose the light bulbs.. they wont notice that I havent vacuumed.. shoot not enough glasses.. well its 6:30 I had better get sewing before I have to get to real stuff. boring. I like the sewing way better.

Elisabrat if you'd see my sewing room this morning after yesterday's marathon you wouldn't say it's perfect. I have so many little v's all over that floor, it looks like I had different carpet laid in there. Oh well, still have 2 to do today and I'll see what the mail brings. I know you all probably think "oh my ___" but my Bronco's won the season opener last night and I'm on cloud nine. Can't help it, love football!!! and what could be better than 31 to 19 against the steelers. 1 down and upteen more games to go though, but so far so good. Any muffins and jam left, tell that hubby of yours to leave 1 jar for me!
Marcialee, I afraid your block is going to take a very long time getting back home to you. I look at that beautiful fabric and just want to squeeze it to death ,my lord it's beautiful!! What line is it please, where do I find it? I want a quilt from it now, not tomorrow, more like yesterday. Guess I better go get ready for the day and make some more mess. Oh Elisabrat forgot to tell you, I'll try to get there early enough to help you with din din but if not be sure to set another place or stuff me in a corner and just hand me a plate. I won't be any trouble, I'm thoroughly capable of filling it all by myself Just make sure it's not a little chair as my broad rear end might have a hard time teetering on it.
