Hi All, Jan, & Anael, better you 2 than me with the "Insane" quilt..I looked it up at Amazon...it's an amazing accomplishment and I would rather just look at it

GrannyQ, I think about you often and all that you & family are dealing with..

Mirabelle. Cutwork is beautiful but I find the end results to be very stiff when finished.. I guess it would depend on what you use it for....

GGal,I haven't set a date for the knee yet..I need to make sure that the tooth giving me the problem is free of any infection before surgery so right now it's a waiting game...about 30 yrs ago I had a reaction to a penicillin drug so the Dr. won't let me have it for this tooth..He says that we're hoping the second tier antibiotic works..Just have to wait!!!

QNS, The Dr. tells me I'm past that procedure..He also has doing the "Vail" procedures for years..He says it's rather entailed and it still requires shots in the knee and eventually needs to be replaced...

I have put up the Fons & porter design wall flannel...DH comments.."What's this doing up here?? I hope it's not going to be up here forever" ...He'll get used to it!!! I am going to be doing some sewing today..mindless but it's still sewing!

GrannyQ, big (((HUGS))) for you!! I'm always glad to see you here.

I called the LQS but they're out of the Nearly Insane book. They don't know if and when they will have it again.

Anael....I plan to visit my daughter in Wisconsin this month and she lives about 25 miles from where the lady that wrote Nearly Insane has her quilt shop. If I can get it, would you be interested on a signed copy?
GrannyQ...glad to hear from you. Keep popping in with updates.
Dubib...your goals for March were far more important than sewing. It's nice that they all went well.
still thinking on my April goals. At this point, I will not be planning so much sewing but a lot more time outside and with family. Today outside wins. While it's windy, the sun shining and there are things to do.

Dublb your goals are just want you needed to achieve, it doesn't have to be sewing related..

I am going to revise my April goals and here is why----- yesterday I packed up my embroidery machine to attend a cutwork class, I also took the slide on tray from my sewing machine so I could convert my embroidery machine to a sewing machine to finish the project. Finished the embroidery and went to start straight sewing and it felt like my needle was hitting something inside the bobbin case. SO cleaned it, changed needle, still happening. The LQS owner is also my Pfaff technician so called her over and she turned the wheel of my machine and said "your timing is out" arrgghhhh!!!!! to which I replied "guess I am leaving my machine here with you then"
Now in the back of my pea brain I am thinking to myself, don't forget to take your tray off the machine and take it home, yeah it should have gone from the back of my brain to the front as I left it there on the machine.
Yes I have another tray but I now don't have my 1/4 inch foot, yes I can change the needle position and I don't have my free motion foot or my open toed foot which are the main sewing feet I use ALL the time.

SO the quilting on Spike is not going to happen as I need the open toed foot for the ditch work and the free motion foot for the quilting.

AND I can't find the camera, I think DH has taken it, if so he is in big trouble

Now that I have had a rant I am going to go sulk in my room...

Mirabelle, you are still blessed with your signt and active mind that desigs so well. My sight is hit and miss today...do not know why. I drive fifty miles per hour, very slowly, to bf's home...and she drove from there. Rrying I Caps for two weeks and see if that makes a difference. Thank goodness I made it back home in good shape. A big blessing of the day.

We are all set for the two day Bus trip at the end of the month.

Found more I SPY fabrics and decided on the backing...and quilting as you go on the I SPY...and going to double side the quilt with lily pads and frogs on the back side. The ones I had on the flannel vertical wall all fell down when the wind whistled through the hall yesterday.

Mirabelle....sounds like a good time to go shopping!!!
Did get the raspberries and roses pruned yesterday and saw my first crocus in my garden. Rained last night so another day in the sewing room. Should get the rest of the borders on my DD's wedding quilt and get back to SYE yet this week.
