Yes, Lesley, a lot of fabric makers are now making their fabric less wide. Sure messes things up. I'm not using Kona here, but where we used to get 42" wide fabric, we are now getting around 40".

Personally I am a bit like Patti, I would rather pay a little more and get the original width - my Kona cotton is 44in wide. After all, we were warned before Christmas that Kona cotton was going to go up in price, and I was resigned to that.

OK...I need your expert advice picking for block 20.

I don't think my original choices will look good..the greens for the outer leaves...so do you like

    1..the 2 rust colors?
    2. the 2 yellow/gold colors
3... any combination of any that you see

I also am not sure of the scroll choices..the orange and the light batick...so do you like either of the 2 yellow prints better with the orange scroll? Should I just go a different direction?

an overall look with my original choices

    the rust colors?

Personally I like your leaf colours, and either the yellow or the last pic, but if you are anything like me, I get a combination I think looks good, then I consider the blocks I have already done that are near it, and have to start again!

Even doing that, I am planning to switch blocks 3 and 5 because I prefer them the other way round next to my centre 16.

Edit: Wooo Hooo just reached page 100!

Ihave looked a couple of times and they really are both lovely. I like the first one, but I also like the leaf colours. No help at all Patti sorry.

    Hi Patti,

I like all of your fabrics but I think the leaf needs to be darker to create balance, so I lean towards the rust.

Thanks for the opinions. I guess I just need to make a decision and get on with it!
