That is looking ahead to Spring, Givio. Squash makes a wonderful soup. We grow some every year. And purple sweet potatoes too.

    Everyone have a great day!

I was so tired last night that I went to bed at 8:30 with Mike. I woke up at the ungodly time of 3:30am! I did sleep 7 hours & I guess that is more than I usually get. I was able to get ready slowly to go to DD's house. I got there at 7:45am. We got busy right away & got the furniture moved outta the way so as to be able to paint half of the living room w/Kills again. While moving the last piece of furniture (The couch) I started having asthma. It has progressively gotten worse through the day. We did get 2 coats of Kills on that half of the floor. I then came home & got ready for my Sew & Share day in Brownwood/Early. Even though I was late, I had a great time. I coughed the whole time I was there. I got home & had tacos for supper. (Yup, DH made tacos for a Taco Tuesday. ) By the time I finished supper I realized that I am sick. Everytime I cough I feel like the top of my head is gonna explode. I have dosed myself up good & am gonna head to bed finally.
I am not sure that I am gonna be able to go back over to DD's to help do the last half of the floor tomarrow. I guess it has to do w/how well I feel when I get up in the morning.

Bev, stay home and rest! When you are sick you don't need to be pushing yourself or smelling fumes from the Kilz. At least one day of rest at home will do you much good. I'm sure your daughter would agree.

No one likes being down, Dublb; but you know the steps to take to feel better and that is the best part.....feeling better very soon.

State Farm Insurance is paying off our GMC loan and giving us back the 'extra' amount to be a down payment on a new or newer car. Hurrah! We will have it before Christmas. I think it might be a Subaru Outback or Jeep Patriot; time will tell. Wanna see out windows, be able to get into the car, have light towing, and 4 wheel drive.

    Feel better, Bev!

QNS, great that your insurance company is taking care of your GMC. Won't it be fun to have a new car!

I have figured out my "back" problem. Yes, I have degenerated discs (two of them), but my pain has been much lower... sacral, rather than lumbar where the bad discs are. I started looking into the piraformis (runs horizontally from the top of the femur to the sacrum in the spine), and that is right where my pain is. I believe I have piraformis syndrome, from working too hard in the gym. It causes sciatica too. So I mentioned this to my therapist and she started doing pressure releases of my piraformis... and voila! Like magic it takes away the pain. I also need muscle relaxant to keep the piraformis from contracting and staying contracted. Oh, it's so wonderful to have some relief and some hope!

Good for you SBG, to have figured out where it hurt and what to do about it.

Looked for a newer car today and no luck. Hope next week goes better.

I have been sick for almost a week. The thing is I have actually been able to sew more. I am still plugging along on my 6" sampler. I am determined not to let it become a UFO. I am about 22 blocks behind.

Hope you are feeling better soon Bev. I have no patience with being sick - I want to be well NOW!!!

Good luck with finding a new car QNS!

I don't know how I somehow get logged out the the Quilting Board. All of a sudden I realize I have not received any notices in what seems like forever.

Bev, I hope you are feeling better today.

Jeanie, how are you doing on your Bonnie Hunter mystery?

QNS, hope you find the right car. I know it's out there...

I'm working on putting together my Rest and Refreshing civil war sampler quilt. I did all the BOWs as they came out, then left my blocks in a pile, languishing on the shelf. (...exactly like my FW30's sampler!) So now I'm trying to get it put together and finished. Eventually I will tackle the 1930's quilt blocks, and also get back to making Pony Club blocks.

I've also been keeping up with the Bonnie Hunter mystery clues as they come out. I'm only doing a half-sized quilt, which is tedious enough! So many small units...
