Our Wal-Mart remodeled 2 years ago & took out the fabric dept. All they have now is precuts, which I refuse to buy.

Aside from all the products they no longer carry (allot of food items), the aisles are hard to nagivate. It's like trying to find your way out of a maze. I do not shop the aisle anymore, as I have problems with my back, feet & walking, so I get what I need & get out. I've been going to other local stores to get things I can no longer get at Wal-Mart.

They may depend on you buying more than one item, but if you don`t go there it won`t happen. I like to buy every thing at one place. We live out in the country,(we are farmers)and buy in larger amounts, as we have little time to spend in town with field work in summer and lots more barn work in winter and then too the ice & snow on the roads. I have found a reasonable priced store that carries every thing WM does, but no fabric either!

Well, next week, I will find out if any improvements are made in our only store, which is an hour ride 1 way and serves many, many towns in our neck of the woods. I have not been there in about almost 2 months. I did not buy anything. Happened DH and I went to the Lowe's there and WalMart is across the street. I was not impressed by what I saw..still one aisle with a cutting table in the middle and 2 people. One is the same lady that has been in fabrics since I had shopped there

My local Walmart doesn't have fabric either. Our Walmart is in a fairly economically depressed area, and I'm guessing maybe the people in that area don't sew much? Just guessing.

No plans at our Walmart yet, and I keep asking every time I have to go in there.

Should of cut it yourself and if anyone ask what you were doing should of said, I thought it was self serve since there wasn't anyone to ask to do the cutting...LOL

Also I had purchased a Singer Confiendent Quilter from HSN and it jump out of time just having it for 4 months, I called singer to find a place here in Oklahoma to have it service and they don't have a warrenty dealer, but this was after the fact of taking it to see how much it would cost me to fix it, so I took it to (The Stitching Post ) they were interested in becoming a Warranty service center for singer, well I finally got Singer on the phone and Singer told The Stitching Post folks they would have to be a dealer for Singer before they could work on Singer Machines. Just crazy. So this will be the last time I purchase a Singer Machine, since it my responsibility to get it to a nearby Warranty Service Center which would be out of state.
Long Story Short just wanted you Oklahoma folks to know that the guy at The Stitching Post fix my machine for nothing and did it right on the spot and I told him, I dont have the cash now but let me know how much, that I would come back and pay him later, and he was very reasonable, and he will get my business from hear on out... I'm looking to buy a Embroidery Machine...and have a few other machines that need to be fix as well...Good Service Gets More business and I also told them about the QB and the lady that was helping me and showing me there Embroidery Machine put the QB link in her favorites...I know this has nothing to do with WM just thought I would share a great business for the folks in Oklahoma

Did you check out the price? They have a sign with reg. price and on the same sign SALE price @ $2.00 off, and in very small print it says the name, like giraffe print. So if you take a print other than that one, you pay reg. price. When you check your bill you know. And still they are building a store about 20 miles from here in a village that has little or no employment.
