I made a quilt for our toy poodle. It is on the back of my couch. that is her favorite space to sleep. Also am working on a quilt in a pinwheel pattern from all of the neckerchiefs the groomer had adorned our late min. poodle. I now save each triangle from our present dog . after all fabric is fabric.

My Akita, Kiko, has many quilted items. She's almost 100 lbs, and sheds a lot. She has a quilt on the living room sofa, one on her dog bed, one on her queen bed in the 'guest' room (you 'guest' it! She has taken over!) Plus, I've made quilted mats to put under her dishes. Our SUV has a dog bed with a quilt on it, plus another quilt on the back seat for her. Ah, she's not spoiled; she was a rescue dog and I'd do anything for her!

Absolutely! I made one for our previous Lab. Just 4 inch squares, left over batting and a remenent for the backing. She loved it. Didn't whine that she didn't like the color or that it didn't go with her decor (or fur color). I have yet to make ones for the new rescued Labs but they've only been here 2.5 months

Yes. I have made him two. One has since fallen to pieces because I hand appliqued and with his scratching and 360 degree turns before he lies down, it didn't make it. The other reflects the happy things in his life - going to the park with his friends, his pet cat and the cat next door that makes his life a misery. Most people I know just roll their eyes and think I'm mad, but reading this thread makes me feel quite normal again. Thanks.
