Smile Availability of Quilting Quickly Magazine

For those of you who are having trouble finding this great magazine in your quilt shops.......it is available in digital download also. The newest issue (Summer) is already offered digitally. The quilts featured are indeed quick, giving instant satisfaction, and fun to do. Love, love, love it.

I have never been able to use a coupon for a magazine at JoAnn's. They said something about mags being from a different vendor. Michael's also sings that same song.

I agree with whomever said why the same price for digital as hard copy of mag? If you have a digital copy can you print it out? Just wondering as I have never done one. If not, what happens if your electronic gizmo fails....all is lost!!!
I am not a ludite....I have desktop, laptop, smartphone, iPad, Kindle, but don't really trust any of them....do as little as possible on them.

I have tried looking at "my local" Walmart, first for the initial mag, and now for the second-Summer edition and neither is there...I really don't think there are that many quilters frequenting that store as the other quilt mags are there......the local LQS does not even know what I am talking about......don't shop there much!! so I guess I have to take the trek to the nearest JoAnn Fabric-25 miles......

I don't watch the F/P series any longer.....something is not the same.....but, there also is no longer any other quilting shows on tv in my area. Miss Kay Wood, Quilt in a Day....now have to search for them on tutes!!!!!! or buy theri DVDs......

I guess she's going to be the main attraction of this 'Quilting Quickly' magazine. She has those 'Quilting Quickly' classes on Craftsy.com also. I am going to keep buying them. I bought the digital and the hard copy both. I couldn't wait to go to town to get a copy.
Jenny has a quilting quickly class on Craftsy that covers some of the things in the magazine. If you look on the MSQC website they have a lot of tutorials!

It's not "live" chat. When you take the class there is a section for questions. You ask them and within a day they are answered. She also asked for people to submit pictures of the quilts they made from the course. I submitted my picture and had a response from her the next day.

I must have lucked out that day or just the store I went to does different. Funny coupons there have a list of exceptions and magazines are not listed. When the fall issue comes out, I will find out if it's a store thing or if was my lucky day. I only shop there with a coupon so no coupon would effect my purchase for sure.

I've never had a problem at JoAnn's, unless their magazines are already on sale. I've bought tons of mags from them with coupons before; they never blink an eye. My opinion is, someone at that store isn't telling you the truth!

Quilt in a Day is on the RFD channel. It's a cable channel. PBS has been slacking in the quilt offerings for sure. I have noticed for March, the PBS channel Create.TV has picked up Donna Dewberry and LapTop Quilting again. It has the program Quilting Arts too. Create Tv is a cable channel as well. If you don't have cable, You might try writting or calling your local PBS and requesting quilt programing.

I'm not real big on on the quilting channel because it's not a cable channel. I have to watch it on my computer. I spoiled. I like my big screen.

Both the Spring and Summer issues are on sale at my local HEB grocery store for those in south and central TX. I liked a few quilts in each issue, but not enough to purchase them. I think I can get the basic instructions off You-Tube and figure them out myself. I just looked at them today.
