It is slowly growing on me and each time I visit it gets easier and seems much nicer to view. I could not figure out why when I opened the picture threads I could not see the picture-----now I know to go to last page last post. Sure love the spell check feature.

I haven't been here long, but I have come to love this board. Thank you Patrice for all the hard work, patience and care you (and others) have poured into this board. I have noticed some appreciated changes already and I know you are listening. Change is always hard, but we can do it!

PaticeJ: Thank you for changing the background; it now comes through as a soft tan. Much appreciated, my eyes don't hurt now. Now it's just navigating the different pages and new system. I did like the convenience of the old board where daily digest was main, pics, etc. Was easy to navigate before/while having morning coffee with brain still in bed. Now, takes a while, so must wait till later, if the day doesn't interfere to, take a looksee. Am still trying to get used to the date order. Latest ones first, etc. especially since some were started early 2010 and before, but I'll get there. Question, would it be podssible for programer to put line in so when you are on page 5 after reading 1-4, you do not have to go back to 4,3,2,1, home? Would like a shortcut to next topic I guess is what I'm trying to say. Breathe deeply and stay sane.

Whoever coined the phrase, "the information highway", probably thought only of the steady stream of information which was being transmitted from point to point. The analogy applies to changes in the system, as highway construction. We had a detour while our bridge was out. Now we have bottlenecks, congestion and slow traffic, as we navigate through the construction zone. When the repairs are complete, we'll be zipping along, hoping the quilt police don't pull us over for speeding. Once we all get comfortable, driving on cruise control, repairs will again be needed. Change is inevitable. Sew, while we're passing through this construction zone, we should all take time to admire the scenery.

I noticed some new flowers along the road - the simile thingies . . . as the mouse runs over them, and explanation pops up. The icon shows a thumb down, but the explanation says, thumbs up. The icon with the thumb up has no explanation. The ignore button, for me, has always been the fast forward on my scroll bar.

Patrice, your absence was understood and forgiven yesterday. We missed you, talked briefly about the headache you must surely be enduring, and moved on to other subjects.

Thanks to all of you for taking the steps necessary to keep our highway intact, to the engineers who noticed that the structural integrity of our bridge was compromised, even though we may not have noticed, those who pushed for the funding of the project, the road crew, and those of you who are directing the traffic in the foul weather. May all of you find that booze button. Drinks are on the house. (after work)

It's getting better on here. Just takes some getting used to. I'm not going to leave the best quilting board on the internet.

I agree. I am getting the hang of it and I worked on several different based databases in my old job, so I understand the growing pains.

I think it will take some getting used to but, life goes on. Sorry about all the complaining. I'm just happy to "see" the board again.

Appreciate the larger font - but I have always been able to control this on my computer - but the background is still too bright, sorry. Light green or blue is much easier on the eyes.

I just want to say "thank you" to you and whoever else has worked to create this new site for all the work and for reading all the rants, etc.
Personally, I have had a few minor problems but have somehow figured out how to do whatever I wanted to do and got to where I wanted to go.
Thanks again for all your hard work and frustration. God bless you.

i've reached the point where many of the responses are much funnier than the changes are a problem, so i can deal with this. i'll just keep laughing.
