I started Friday anyway - sewed a bunch of hexies for my current one block wonder. Yesterday I quilted a UFO, and and got the binding on it today. I'm going to claim a June UFO finish for this one

Today, more sewing - it's way too hot around here to head anywhere outside for Canada day. So, I'll probably work some more on my One Block Wonder. And maybe I'll try to tidy my sewing room. Right now, I can't bear to be in there, so I'm sewing in the TV room (which has the advantage of being 1 floor lower and much cooler). If it gets much worse, I'll be forced downstairs and maybe I'll get some more UFOs quilted on the longarm.

This is the current state of my one block wonder - about 1/2 the hexies are made.

Lovely OBW. I want to make one someday. Be sure to show this beauty off as you progress.

Kristakz would love to see the fabric you are using for the OBW.

Just saw this thread. Thank you for hosting. I am working on a scrappy baby donation quilt. Still working on blocks but hope to get it together this week-end. Will post a picture when it is in one piece. Stay cool, everyone!

here is the first ray for the mandala quilt. I think the pattern I came up with will work, but I'm not sure about the colors.

There will be 24 mostly identical rays with a narrow strip of navy between them. When I get the rays complete, I'll satin stitch around all appliques.

This isn't the finished layout. I'm just putting the blocks up as I make them.
Love it. Bright is good sometimes.

47 degrees Celcius is a good excuse for staying inside and quilting all weekend.
Here's my progress so far on my one block wonder. Original fabric shown below.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I have had a lazy weekend! I cleaned up a little in my sewing room and did some online shopping but that's about it . So tomorrow I will have to get cracking!

Just found VQW. Thanks for hosting and extending. Will be able to participate today, tomorrow and Wednesday. Attached is what I will be working on. The art gallery will change out on Tuesday. The picture on the right is what I have completed. The plan is to make 2 more. It's a multi-media on canvas using acrylic paint, stencils, fabric fishes, paper. All is attached with gel matte media.
