i have yet to use the $25 'pouncer' or the triangle ruler. what i use most..seam rippers, i have 5 of them, in all places around the sewing room. i use a fine screw driver instead of a 'purple thang' to poke and hold down. i am addicted to quilt magazines, have so many useless ones. but can't stop buying them.

i cannot get onto using a thimble, i will try the cut off ends of rubber gloves tho. o poor you paying so much for a thimble, a moment of weekness? mine was buying a 'quilt in the ditch' foot for my machine. 19$ and silly, i make as many slips out of the ditch as i do normally.
