manna-up-north: the method of QAYG is a variation of Kaye Woods 6-Hour Quilt...there is a link to a you-tube video under "more details" at this link: http://www.kayewood.com/item/6_Hour_...ew_Format/2029 My "variation" is just that I sew blocks into rows and then join/quilt like this method. If the blocks need more quilting in them, I do it before adding the next row. It saves having to have the bulk of a whole quilt all at once.

I was able to get a baby quilt quilted and bound today...this is for my sister who had a baby Friday. I just did a mini-jelly roll race quilt (1/2 strips), then cut into 3 sections. I turned the sections so the same fabrics didn't match up. Backing is flannel.

Nanna...sorry about the manna in your name. I fixed it twice but obviously my spell check liked "manna" better.

Finished another one of my ufos! I even tried mitered borders for the first time. I'm very happy with how they came out.

tlambing--a great finish. I really like the main fabric you used throughout the quilt. Is this a pattern or one you made up? It reminds me of a medallion/round robin type quilt.

Linda, the pattern calls for a layer cake but you end up cutting some of the pieces into 5" squares and then cut some in half for the rectangles for the sashing/star pieces. Really easy pattern called Hidden Stars.

Carriem & Tlambing, great job on getting some UFO's completed. They are all beautiful quilts.

I agree and Carrie, don't overdo now! It was a pleasure to be a part of your Circle of Friendship.

OK--don't worry I won't over do. Now I won't be sewing again for a couple days. My plan for this week is to get the last border on my medallion quilt. In the next couple weeks I will work on quilting the 4-5 tops I have ready and waiting from when my shoulder was hurting too much to quilt....only plan to finish one of these (maybe two) in June...not all 5!
