Yes, I have shelves in the sewing room! There is a Murphy bed in there with shelves on both sides of the bed -- you can't tell it is a bed! Mom's Pfaff is on one of the shelves! The Koala cabinet is out in a cargo unit! Yes, that Pfaff that my Mother bought brand new when my big brother was a baby in 1952 - then used almost everyday for the next 45 years - has to stay in the sewing room! Thank you Monica!

Hi,I am new to this so bear with me. I have acquired a Singer treadle machine. The only No. I have found on it is G7789982. I would like to learn more about it so if you could give me information of how to get a manuel for it I would appreciate it. It sews well but would like to get some parts for it. Other than a manuel it also needs the thread holder for the top. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks jan

Depending on how much rust it's got... Give her the $20 and I'LL be HAPPY to have you send it down to me to work on... $20+cost of shipping to florida (or just hold onto it for me til summer time when I'm up there.) Beats the $100 price tag down here! whoosh.

I learned to sew on a VS machine, and still love them. I don't mind their little clickety-click!! I find it soothing. They're simple machines, and rarely need adjustment. The only thing better is a TS!!

I have seen someone convert a 201 with potted motor to a HC. Some can be and some can't. I believe it would need a bobbin winder from a donor machine.
It would be hard to replace the motor if that's the problem with it. You would have to find one from another machine as they are no longer made.

I'm game! Let's go! lol.... okay maybe I'm stuck in Florida. But if I ever get over to Fresno... I'm knocking on Donna's door! Same thing with Billy... if I ever get to TN in his neck of the woods... well... come to think of it, I might when I drive to Maine for summer vacation this year. huh.
