My 301, AnnieRose, is my FMQ machine. I have the big plastic foot, but will try a small metal one when I remember to order one. I piece with it, too. I like the 15 clone for piecing - it seems to sew straighter, but I like the sound of the 301 much better, so it's the piecer when it's not FMQ.
Mine is a simple taupe short bed, but it's in great shape. I have a taupe long bed for back up. Would have preferred another short bed, but I took what I could get. I have the 1/4" foot, which I do not use, the SITD foot, which I do use, a circle foot, and a buttonholer, which I don't use. I have a roller foot from another brand that may fit.

Yes, I know, but it does look like a slant foot and it fits the 301. I haven't sewn with it because I don't need it and I sure don't want to damage the feeddogs on my 301.

The only foot I purchased was a quarter inch with guide. The quarter inch foot is a full 1/4" so if I start a project on the 301 I have to finish on her. I have heard that the walking foot doesn't work as it doesn't match up to the feed dogs on the 301A. Since all I do is piece on her, I don't have need for any other feet.

I also bought a Singer 301a. It is in excellent condition. It came with accessories. Can I purchase a 1/4 foot with guide for this model and who carries them?

There are a ton of modern feet made for slant shank machines, including hopping feet, even feed, etc.

Here are a bunch of different ¼" patchwork feet for slants.

I am aware this is old, however, I have to comment for those who read this later. My touch and sew came with a roller foot, so it should work just fine on a 301.

I bought a slant zig zag foot and use it for stitching quilt blocks. Makes a perfect 1/4" seam. I also bought a vintage Singer walking foot that works great. You do have to make sure and get the right foot, some don't fit the feed dogs right. Mine came in an orange and white box. The Featherweight Shop also sells new ones that fit.

Enjoy your machine, I have 3 of them, time to switch out and use my black one!
