This one is interesting. Never seen a posting for a Hitachi sewing machine in treadle.

Used to trailer to Vermont for three-day trail rides and the last one two years ago made me realize he was having a hard time. Thought about getting another equine, but don't want to leave a lot of loose ends for my family to tie up some day. Bad enough I will leave lots of sewing machines, materials, antique riding clothes, etc. And neither of my sons ride, nor do they have any children (2 grandsons) who are interested.
I figured your horse was getting up there in years! I have two 29 year olds. One gets ridden on a short ride a couple time a week by my neighbor. The other one is fully retired due to ringbone. My youngest is 5. She will be our last horse! Like you I worry about leaving them when I go!

JoSew, I am not sure about a Minnesota "D," but check out the White machine site. White made a Minnesota A & H, also a Minnesota E and M for Sears. Maybe, you can get an idea of what Minnesota you have by the pictures on this site. http://community.webshots.com/user/arachnesobsession

This one has been the most stubborn one about shedding her gunk. She will never be a beauty, but at least she IS gonna be CLEAN .

Katfish, you just got two great machines! I especially like the 15-125, though!

I have been looking at that one Monica. I also wondered about the treadle part. I want to go see this machine just to see if it is really a treadle.
