My husband rewired the original lamp so I can plug that in without having to use the motor. Lovely, beautiful stitch....

Factoring in gas money, I'm not sure what kind of deal I got, but it was a fun road trip. Seller said she found it in the house they just bought, so no history on her. I've already performed her motorectomy. Some crazing and some rust here and there, I think she's going to clean up well. She does have the back clamping setup, but it looks like I might have a side clamp bar I can salvage off another machine so I can use the attachments I already have. Here's the 1949 Singer blackside 128-23 I picked up Saturday.

We had a very sad home coming, though. We lost Tarzan the Man, my 3.5 pound black Chihuahua. Our house sitter did not realize he was not drinking. He died of severe dehydration.

Nancy, sorry to hear of your loss. I know it is hard to go through.

Davis, New Home, Standard, White, Domestic, Kenmore, Free-Westinghouse, or National.
(list from the book by Charlene Phillips, The Sewing Machine Attachment Handbook)
Evidently there are 12 different sizes of these top clamp attachments that all fit different machines...
