lee231 - nice find. Thought you would like to know that what you have there is a 15 not a 99. Double checked with the serial number, but the give away is always the tensioner knob on the faceplate rather than the front of the machine like most. 15's are nice machines. Yours looks to have a reverse, and there is a knob underneath the machine to lower the feed dogs - great for FMQ!

Very nice! Love my 15-91 (you can tell by the motor--it's the "potted" motor with the attached black case. Gear driven, no belts). Got it at an auction too. :)

I also just saw one of these on the DFW CL for $20--good deal if anyone is looking in that area.

My apology lee231 - I misread your post with additional pictures.

Nancy what is ringbone? Kathie[/quote]

Oldest one we had was 32 when we retired him. He was a very peppy Standardbred and a super classy horse to ride.

Ringbone: a bony outgrowth on or near the articulating surface of the pastern or coffin bone of a horse that typically results from injury and usually produces lameness.

Billy, my DH will be making me a long table for my sewing room. I would like to be able to change out machines. Do you have photos showing the underside and describing how you did your table so that each machine doesn't have gaping holes around it (I loose too much stuff through holes)? I am interested in seeing the top, inside when you lift a machine out and then the underneathe side view. Hope I am not asking too much. :-D

There is a person in the Bay Area that has been trying to sell a FW on CLs for over a month; he wants $495. I think he would do better on ebay.
They aren't going for that much on eBay either. Lately the prices have been much lower than, say, last year! There are TONS of them out there.
I got a FW, case, attachments, and manual (plus a new pair if Fiskars) in excellent condition the other day on eBay. It was buy it now for $250, I countered $100 and he came back at $175, free shipping. I felt I did okay! It came yesterday and, once I figured out how to thread the needle, it works great! :)
Way to negotiate, Nicky!! You got a good deal!!

a listing for two treadle machines in the Omaha area... Anyone interested? I could pick one up for you!
The second one is the more rare Pheasant Decal 27! I might need to check the funds for this one!

Billy
I have a 27 with the pheasant decals. I had no idea that it was one of the more rare decals. I really love mine. It was the first vintage machine that I got and it got me hooked.

What is the most rare decal for the Singers?

Here's a pic of my pheasant 27. I haven't given her the spa treatment yet.
Beanie that's beautiful.
