Science as to the beach ball staying up in the air about a couple of feet above a vacuum cleaner. Not a mystery, but Bernoulli's principle, sometimes demonstrated in high school science classes. I remember this too. There was a shoe store in town that had this serve. We thought it was cool to have our feet X-rayed. Just shows what little they knew about x-rays back in the 50s & early 60s.[/quote]
I remember them too. Our MW store had everything. My dad worked there. I liked the electronics dept...transistor radios!! Sometimes I got to go with him when he had to be in early before the store opened up and he strongly suggested that I keep busy by dusting the furniture department! It was kind of fun then!

I have a chance to buy a treddle machine can any one tell me how much they are going for the person wants me to make offer and i would like to know how much people are paying for them thanks

right now, I have an email out to a person on craigs list...its an old Singer treadle with the cabinet, it looks good in the photo,and he is asking 50.00 for it...if its as good as it looks, I will buy it.........watch ebay for a little while and see how the prices go there..

I sent them an e-mail on Friday, they answered me last night with some vague answer and saying to visit the page where you can put in the serial number & get a certificate, or e-mail or call customer service.
I answered them back telling them that was not a good answer, and we need access to the lists of dates/models for us collectors when we are out shopping at flea markets and/or antique shops and/or yard sales. I told them they are not providing good customer sevice for their loyal owners.
