Default Ruby

Here is my latest project. I am cleaning up a Ruby head. I want Cecilia to see what can be done to spruce up these old machines. I am posting a before and and a pic of it in the process. I am using my techniques as in my tutotrials.

Glenn, thank you for sharing your vast knowledge. I recently got a treadle & plan on cleaning her up this winter & your instructions are wonderful!

Maybe that would be me - I need a belt release lever - with spring and bolt.

I too am back after a work-related absence. I cannot use my work laptop for QB related stuff per my boss and I've been gone 2 weeks. Home for a week and off again on another adventure.
It's nie to be back and catch up with vintage friends. Was going to say old friends but did not wish to offend anyone.

Hi Friends!
Just checking in, Miriam emailed me...

Have been super busy, work was a zoo this summer, and I was pretty much a zombie by the time I got off work each day. In September, the spousal unit bought me a *gasp* "white plastic wonder"....but this one is a Viking Diamond deLuxe embroidery machine, so I'm keeping it! Didn't get much of a chance to play with it before my sister fell at her home and broke her shoulder. I spent 3 weeks taking care of her before she went to stay with her kids in San Diego. Have been playing "catch up" ever since.
The spousal unit has decided (with the help of his little brother) that I needed an "intervention"! LOL! To keep the peace I decided that I am going to sell some of my machines..."some" being the operative word! Now to decide which ones should find new homes....that's the hardest part!

Hope all of you are well!

Charlee;

Nice to see you again. Sorry about your sister and the intervention. What a bummer.

Thanks Chris! The intervention is probably a good thing...no way can I keep up with using all of my machines, and I hate for them to just sit...someone should enjoy them!
It's going to sound weird, but my sister's accident was something of a blessing...we spent some quality time together and are closer than we ever were...so while I would never wish for her to be in that kind of pain, some good did come out of it.
