I love looking at the old machines too. It brings back such good memories of my Mom. I grew up around the sewing machine pedal of the 206 that is now mine. Can't for the life of me bring it to my home though. It is in the same place at my Dad's home that it has always been, that I can remeber. It's like taking a step back in time.

I have some pictures of a few of my machines in my webshots album. I thought this may be easier for me instead of trying to find pictures . I have others in my shed that I don't have pictures of. I have a 400 and a 503 singer slant. A 201 that needs to be rewired and a few more I have forgotten lol
The Free is my favorite machine Its the prettiest I think. I am going to turn it into a hand crank if I can

Oh, sorry! The name is Dritz. It also says Made in USA and Patent Pendng. It appears to be made out of aluminum? It's super light. The "arms" on either side swivel back and forth.

But I want to keep this strictly about the vintage machines. There has been such a huge interest in the vintage machines that I thought this might be a good place for us to bounce around information and help each other in keeping these wonderful pieces of history going. I had no idea it would take off like this but I am not complaining!!!
So that is why I wanted the cut off date to be around 1975 before all of the electronics started to come into play.

It will look kinda cloudy if you get it on the finish after wiping it off but the GoJo will take it off and the polish will hide everything!!

Edit: Opps I forgot about the treadle. :oops:
I will have to do some research on the Brother but since you have the serial I am going to email my buddy in Australia and see what he has on it and I will get back with you on it!!!
