Actually my Davis came with a little original Singer envelope with 3 long needles. Maybe someone will want them.[/quote]
I am looking for some long needles for my Minnesota D, are the needles around 2" long?

If anyone is interested in buying the blackside Singer 128-23 I have pictures of on page 1364, please PM me.
California folks preferred. This thing is heavy!(25-30lbs), so shipping would be costly. Plus, the case is in excellent shape & I would not want to risk it getting damaged. We can talk about meeting part way between me & you.

jljack,
I was pretty sure that the case the 301 is in isn't the right one, but I wanted to protect it. I think it should work fine for the loose 15-91, but I figured that one is bullet proof and would be fine case less for the trip home. The bottom of the 301 is nicely finished and sealed, altho I haven't really had a chance to inspect it fully.
I would love to hear from some one who has managed to do something about the "fungus" appearance of the 301, tho.

I figured out how to thread it and took a few stitches. The belt is too loose, and it has some krazing. I will use Billy's tutes to fix her up. Included were lots of attachments I have not had time to study yet. I even got the original receipt from 1919, and a history on the family that owned it.

If anyone here within reasonable driving distance (??? from Bakersfield, very little is "reasonable" driving distance!! But hopefully I can do road trip to No or So CA within the next few weeks) has a Singer treadle they can part with for a reasonable price, please let me know. I can do restoration work if required....DH is a "wood guy". Thanks!!

They are a hair under 2." PM me if you would like to have them! I am pretty new at this but I don't think I would need these on most of the vintage machines I might pick up (as I do see more in my not so distant future).

He wanted to be able to tell me Tarzan had some condition that made him become dehydrated, but his tests were all great - he was extremely healthy, just so severely dehydrated that his blood had lost 75% of the water - it was like glue. We got back from our trip to a severely sick dog, a $1,000 vet bill and then a dead dog. Not fun. I just want you all to use this as a lesson, maybe Tarzan can save another tiny dog by you all knowing what happened to him. It is noones fault but mine - I just never thought he'd stop drinking. Ok, I am happy. After work I finally got a call from a lady selling treadle machine in a parlor cabinet. I made my son take me and his pickup truck to get it. The top is missing a few pieces of veneer and there is a small decorative piece of wood missing in front. Fortunately I am friends with a wood worker who can duplicate the missing piece. The machine is a Damascus Grand. Know nothing about it but, I love it! The machine was purchased new by the seller's husband's great grandmother and has been in the family ever since. The man said he used to sew with it when he was a kid. No one in the family wanted it any more, so it came home with me. Will post pics when I can.

But I can't run the machine, as the wires are bare! I'll just have to try them by turning the handwheel. Not gonna happen for a couple of weeks, at least! Thanks for the offer...I'll let you know. But if you want to sell them, go ahead and don't wait for me. There are always a bunch of these sets for sale on eBay and ShopGoodwill.

Evidently there are 12 different sizes of these top clamp attachments that all fit different machines...
I dont think they will work. The few that I have for the domestic look different. Thanks anyways
