Thanks for the welcome. 
I'm barely a quilter. Mine number three and they are all just patchworks. And they keep getting smaller and smaller. My machine is a 1938 Singer. From my Aunt Rita who sewed her daughters brides maids dresses.
My patches squirm around and the strips are never neat and clean. I start out that way and pretty soon end up tacking on extra strips to make up for the gaps!! :|
o well, they are truly homey looking and ol' Ritie and love each other too much to end our days and part ways.

One of my latest acquisitions I hadn't posted photos of yet. Jones Hand Crank. Not sure how old she is but she works. I just need to clean and oil her up and she's good to go. I will probably try and build a case for her.

Those decals are called Orange Blossom or Dogwood and they are very pretty, but your machine looks to me like a 127, which is a full sized machine. I have not seen that decal on a 28/128, but that's not to say it didn't exist! Also, what happened to the spoked hand wheel?

Hi All, I have another sewing machine to add to my collection (1915 & 1939). This one is 1951. Don't know the model but it has been rewired and works! My other two don't. Got this one for $20 Canadian. The cabinet is in rough shape, but I have the exact same cabinet for one of the non working machines that I thought I would switch out.

You did well. That's a 201. They are great machines.

Only the 201-2 with the potted motor had the light on the front. The other 201 models had a light on the rear.
To recognize the 201remember that it has a stitch length lever and back plate the same style as the class 15s, but with a tension unit on the front of the head.

Thanks for identifying the model! I will search for the manual, so maybe I could learn how to oil it. In one manual it mention lub for the motor? And the black belt on the end has some fine cracks but still works. It sews quite nice. Any good sites for knowing how to care for a 201?
