Yes, that is the first pattern of Pam Bono's that I bought! Also have the same pattern to do in a white background...bought the first kit in CC, but thought it was too many$$ for the material in it, so dropped out of the class..and never really started it.. Good luck, Mirabelle!!

Thank you all so much! Mirab I love your quilt; the 4 blocks that you made are the patterns I was interested in and may be the reason I sign up. I love your fabric choices, too. I don't like that all the cutting is done ahead of time. I really don't need any more large quilts so I like to just make blocks and see where they end up--sometimes a quilt, sometimes a runner, sometimes in The Box That Shall Never Be Opened. I think you've all convinced me this is something I need to do. Yinz are good at spending my money LOL!!!

I don't have any input on this pattern maker.

Mirabelle--you have a nice quilt and very pretty blocks there! Thanks for sharing!!

Jan--Have fun with your new project.

Like mirabelle and Jan, I don't like to cut the entire quilt before sewing. There are several quilts in the book I would love to make but I have to go fabric shopping first

Mirabelle, your blocks are beautiful! I saw the pattern (the other one in white too) and thought these are gorgeous. So now I'm reconsidering LOL

I didn't purchase a kit just the pattern. The fabric I am using is predominately Fusions although I am using small pieces of batiks if I haven't got the right colour in the Fusions range.

I didn't finish block 5 today although I did get the last of my Dresden Plates finished for another quilt I am working on. It is a pieced and machine embroidered quilt and when everyone leaves on Boxing Day and the house is quiet I plan on finishing the machine embroidered panels. Wish me luck

A lot going on in 3 days! QNS, the package arrived on Friday and was waiting for me when I got home. Cookies and milk, hummm good. Thanks so much. Can you pm me your snail mail address? I have something for you too. Jan, I've never heard if the quit designer either but boy is that a beautiful quilt. I have a pattern for an appliqué one but haven't tackled it yet. I thought it would be nice for hand work in the evening but it does take a lot of prep work. QuiltE, so happy for you that you are SEWING! Your snowman is adorable. Mirabelle, you have a lot going on too. Your Bono quilt will be gorgeous! I liking having several different things to work on. I don't get bored so easy by doing the same pattern all of the time. Dubib, Wonderful news of your DDIL and quilts don't have to be for special ocassionally. I had a wonderful visit with my family. I delivered the 2 house quilts and the parents loved them. I also found out that i will be grandma again next May. I thought I discerned a baby bump but my son wouldn't give me a straight answer. They had planned on the oldest GD making the announcement and didn't want to steal her thunder. They also announced that DDIL will be made partner at the law firm Jan 1. She is in immigration law in Chicago. I stopped at a couple of quilt shops and improved their economy. I found a backing that is perfect for the Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt, some more blue and white which was hard to find in the past, a KT bundle if FQs and a bundle if cream FQs which is really pretty. I've never purchases bundles before but they were a good price and the store really needed the business. The owner said she hadn't gotten any if the latest fabrics because she has inventory that needed to be sold first. Just had to help the lady out! Thought of you Carrie and found something to add to the BB package just for you. I haven't sewn a stitch in three days and I'm ready to get at it. Have a great day, everyone!

I just hit the "buy" button and enrolled in Pam Bono's quilt club. The more I looked at the patterns and what Mirab showed here the more I knew I wanted to try them. I told MrJanRN he just got me a Christmas present (on my credit card LOL). He just rolls his eyes--he's such an enabler to my habit.
Ggal, what a great time you had. Congrats on upcoming new grand; I have 2, ages 19 and 16 (going on 25 LOL). Just finished up some more shopping for them. Love spoiling them. You combined a great time with family and quilt shopping--"these are a few of my favorite things..." (I think that's how the song goes.)
Bonus blocks are done, will mail to you, Carrie, after the Christmas mail rush. Hope everyone likes them.
