Just kidding about the pain killers, I loathe taking pills of any kind. I have been resting the shoulder and not doing much, did get another quilt back from my LA'er, haven't shared it yet as I still have to sew the binding on. Will try and do that tonight. It is a mini Dresden made from some pink jelly rolls I had. Pics to come I promise. I only have Marjen of Error to quilt and I am caught up on ufo's yay I tend to start a lot and when it starts to overwhelm me I go into finish it crazy girl mode Now it is time to make Chicken and Noddle Soup for lunch, have a great day everyone

I'm seeing alot of exceptional blocks the last few days and I wonder where their names are???
That pie recipe has me intrigued... I'm wondering if I added some toffee bits would they soften up to be like a gooey caramel?? that would certainly be up my alley & make my day... I want to try to make some Divinity...a local shop in town makes it along with all flavors of fudge....they don't put enough pecans in the Divinity to suit me....
Has anyone noticed that nothing keeps Miraelle down for long... The wheels are already turning for new projects!!!
I wish I had half the energy of you gals here..you get sooo much done!!!...
Almost time for dessert...I'm thinking the new flavor from Friendlys, Mango, will do it for me... off to the freezer!!!!

I've slowly been researching the Pony Club children. I had great fun the weekend before last talking to the daughter of the cute little boy, Billy Siskin on pages 16-17. Billy's daughter is named Barbara and she told me that she and another relative were just looking over some family pictures and noticed a picture of a pony, but didn't know anything about it. She was so happy to be able to read her father's letter and learn the story behind the pony. Barbara told me that he was a great husband and father and worked as a salesman and loved golfing. He sadly died of a heart attack at the age of 42 at his favorite place--the golf course when Barbara was only 17 years old. The conversation made a great Father's Day for the both of us.
I have a question for you all. My pain is back in full force (I had to stop taking the pain last medication I was given) and I was wondering if anyone has tried accupuncture? A nurse recommended it, but it sounds pretty strange to me.

I worked on _________'s block yesterday & am not happy w/it. I'm not sure if I'm gonna make another one or do another black line applique as another fix. Humph. I did it in 2 sm places & am thinkin' o' balancin' it out.
I babysat my DGSon taday. I took him ta the park. We had a lotta fun but about the time I was ready ta go he climbed up on the bench o' the picnic table & fell head first onta the concrete. He's fine but it took my heart away!! I just wasn't fast enough. After I knew he didn't have a concussion & there wasn't anything broken I decided that the last memory o' the park didn't need ta be a hurt head so we walked around for about 45min.s more. He doesn't really play on things, he likes ta explore. He did hold my hand more than before the fall. I guess he just needed my comfort. Life can be so hard at 19 months.
Hey Anne it's so good ta see ya. My DD had bursitis once. LOL I guess she suffers from it still but I mostly hear about the fibromyalgia. The bursitis bothered her while she was in collage. I do know how bad it hurt her so my prayers are w/ya.

While I was takin' PT for my back they did "dry needlin' ". They put needles in my back muscles & hooked electrodes ta em. It made my muscles spasm & relax more. The more they relaxed the less I hurt. I'm not sure if acupuncture does the same thing but I was willin' ta try anything short o' surgery. Eventually I had an epidural that put Kenelogg inta my disk. Well that was what worked for me. I had it again this last May. 2 years & 3 months apart. I'll do it again every time I need it. I sure hope ya find what works for ya. Chronic pain can ruin your quality o' life. My prayers are w/ya.

Laurie--thanks for sharing the story about Billy. I haven't had acupuncture, but like Bev have had "dry needling" with good results on my neck, shoulders and back. Last time I was there he worked on my elbow too and it gave me some relief there as well.
Bev--that would be scary watching a little one fall of a picnic table. Glad he was ok.
Honchey--divinity sounds good...it has been years since I've had it.
Jan--great block from GrannyQ! Your quilt is going to be very nice.
QE--a friend of mine who does FMQ also recommends the silicone spray. Other suggestion (like Anael said) would be to get your machine on a larger flat surface if possible.
Chiro got things all back in place...two spots out that could affect my shoulder as well as my shoulder itself. I opted to rest it today and will go to the clubhouse tomorrow and get some quilting done...probably less actual quilting and more just piecing.

JanRN what a beautiful block from GrannyQ, your MB's look great together..and I really like that background fabric.
Bev so glad that DGS is ok, it is very frightening when small ones take a fall.
Laurie I loved reading about your research, what a pleasure to speak to the daughter of one of the Pony recipients. I have not personally tried acupuncture but I have had some friends who have and they say it was the best thing for pain relief. Hope you find what works for you and relief from pain.
I played a little with pretty fabric today and made my first Sylvia block. I think I will just place them randomly as most blocks have more than one colour. The background fabric is not a true white but not cream either, it has white flowers on it and I think will work for this quilt. Let me know what you think. I am going to put the final borders on Animal Flowers now, no more playing
