I meant I have picked out which block I want everyone else to make for me. That was one of the questions on the questionnaire. I'm waiting to see what my first "assignee" has listed for her block/fabric/color in her response to the questionnaire before I start anything else. I aim to please as much as is within my creative abilities.

Which brings me to a question .... are we to pick ANY pineapple block pattern? or are you providing which pattern you would like used? Please and Thanks!! :)

Hey, I missed that pineapple reference!! Re-read. Oooh, I guess I'd better tape that list to my sewing table!! Otherwise, its hard to tell what I would do!:D I failed to read the instructions, too. I do not care what kind of block I get 'cause this talented group it does not matter, except I try to avoid whites...it will go into a sample quilt whatever the block is, it will be well received.

When will we know whom we sew for??? I got the names with numbers and addresses for everyone...so do we sent it direct or through some one again? Now to line up 12 different patterns....for each of you. But whom do we sew for first???

That chicken pie looks very good, Mirabelle...the top is so nicely baked. My tops are always doughy under the crust.

Good news about the twins celebrating that first four weeks.

You ladies sure have been chatty this morning. :)

I was gone all day Saturday at our last "league" archery tournament...it was a home one so I was there from 7am til about 8:30pm...pretty much crashed when I got home. Things ran smoothly so that was good. We go to State (Des Moines) the first weekend in March, so get a weekend off...yay!

Mirabelle---your chicken potpie looks yummy. I too am curious what your crust is?

OK--your baby quilt/saying is very cute.

Anael--happy 4 weeks to the twins...good news on a couple more good nights. Great picture of Bram.

Honchey--great work on getting the mystery block exchange organized and set to go for March. I am good to start next month.

It's nice to see everyone checking in regularly. This is going to be so much fun!

Happy to hear BBs are still arriving every couple days too!! DH is making lunch today...grilling rib-eye steaks on this c-o-l-d day! A little crazy, but they will taste so good. :)

QuiltE 02-17-2013 09:03 AM

QNSue ... Each month, Honchey will be letting each of us know who our intendeds are! :D She did state the dates that we will be notified. I'm not going to re-state them here, for fear that I have the dates wrong in my mind! So you have a little while to relax before you have to make decisions!

Anael ... so precious!

Anne, March works for me. I'm so excited about this ride!

Honchey 02-17-2013 09:50 AM

Okay , okay, I am sending out the list of who will be making blocks for who. Please do not announce who you have to make the block for...

Whoever gets the international gals ( mirabelle, quiltE, JanieW)has to have the blocks in the mail by the 15th of March.
thats 26 days from today..
Everyone else has to get the blocks in the mail by the 25th of March..thats 36 days from today...
Now to get to the emails...

Please correct my confused mind, but if someone ask for the pineapple or court house steps and we post our block before mailing, isn't that a solved mystery and no surprise on whom it is for?

Hey, Carrie, enjoy Des Moines for me too! If you have any extra time, will you visit a quilt shop or two?

I have been 'window shopping' on internet this morning; back to www.quilterscache.com for her size "C" patterns...all 12 inch blocks...free, of course!....forgot about lunch time and what to fix, so will have to plan supper!:)

Honchey 02-17-2013 10:57 AM

QNS, You make a block. you send the block...the person receiving the block posts a photo of it and tells who made it...

You will receive a block from someone that made it for you..you will then post a photo of the block you received and tell who made it for you...

Neither you nor anyone else tells who they have while making or waiting to mail the block..You have to wait until the block has been received then it can be discussed here...
I hope this explains it better....if not ...Help!!!!!
