I am also hurting my arm patting myself on the back. Went on vacation for 4 days, and passed up several quilt shops. Didn't even stop!

Is it still a vacation if you don't stop?

I received a box of fabric today and had the joy of going through it. I've already chosen projects for several of the pieces and don't mind adding the rest to my stash. It is fabric with memories attached and that is the best kind.

Tkhooper- that's awesome that you have a connection to the fabric you received.

I brought home 2 boxes, one bag, and a design board with a whole bunch of 2" squares inside it last week from my church group. I wasn't going to take the 4 pieces of cardboard with batting glued on it until my friend said she would throw them away and recycle the squares. I said I would take it home because of the squares and imagine my surprise when I found all of those squares laying between the cardboard wrapped by a bungee cord!

I made these pillow covers for square pillow forms. They will be donated to a charity for their fundraiser and craft shows. A few more things headed out of my house.

Connie,

That's a great haul. After spending several hours cutting scraps into squares last week - yours are better as they are already done and such pretty fabrics too.

I also am patting myself on the back. One of my favorite quilt shops online is having a sale. After loading up the basket I closed it and walked away. When I went back I removed all but fabric for backings (mottles). While I definitely don't want to start a trend by collecting fabric backs (I really would drown in fabric) I'm pretty pleased with my shopping results.

PaperPrincess-good job, hope your arm's not getting too tired.

tkhooper- sounds like the best kind of fabric

connie- precuts! Lucky you

elly66- that's the joy of online shopping. Nobody looks at you funny when you load up your cart with all those lovely fabrics and then put them all backLOL

Today, I sewed a shop sample with some lovely silver holly fabric (say that 5 x fast!)...oh it's calling to me...usually when I see lovely new fabric I tell myself it will be here tomorrow and if it's gone it wasn't meant to be...not so sure about this piece.....

Been mostly good trying only to buy what I need or add solids so I can use more of my prints. The last week I have spent plowing thru left over charms that apparently are bunnies cause there are way more left over then I thought and sewed them into two large size crib blankets using the starbright pattern very easy and quick. I just separated into color ways that I had a lot of, then away I went. I also did the star wonky so I could use the charms and not cut more stuff up. I used up all the grays and the grays with pink on one. Then most of my bright teals and blues and finally am working on a black and white. its cleaning up my area and getting a few things done. They are only flimsys but the next time a baby comes I will be ready lol.
