That was a very good buy. One can not afford to pass up good buys.
My daughter was here this weekend and I gave her a 16 patch quilt. She said beautiful. Scrapy quilt.

That was quite the fall, teacher, but it's going to a good cause. No harm done.

well hoop back on the wagon and hide the credit cards. Sometimes I can resist the fabric and that means if my stash is going to shrink I have to get to quilting.

Wow, Teach, you sure got a bargain! I can also relate to that 'spending mode'. Hope it doesn't last too long!

I'm going to the quilt retreat in Pismo Beach on Thursday. Already planning my fall.

Oksewglad: Lots of fleece left and quite a few bolts of the 7.99 fabric are left. The shelving units were pretty bare. I didn't really check out many other areas. My understanding is the 3 stores left in the Twin Cities area are getting the rest of the supplies from the local warehouse before they close.

Talked to a gal said that lots of fleece was left at the Rochester store...not worth the trip for me when I don't need fabric.

I was thinking of replacing the covering on my design wall. I'm using a nice thrift store beige flannel sheet and it has served me well, but I really wanted something with a grid to help align patches & blocks. They do sell gridded flannel for this purpose, but it's pricey. I went to the thrift store today and they had an 8 yard bolt of flannel printed with a grid for $5. Could not resist. I just washed it with double fabric softener and it came out very soft with a nice nap. I measured it in several places and even though the lines are printed not woven, they are very consistent. I'm pretty excited. I hope to have some time this weekend to seam it up & replace the current covering.
