Just checking in. I'm still on the wagon this month. I am using my stash or scraps for my current projects. I made a doll pillowcase for my sister today for her BD to go along with her doll quilt. I picked our 2 1/2" blocks for my BD QAL project. I used my stash for my newly started Judy's Mystery #13. After I get them finished I will post pics. So many projects, so little time.

It looks like most members are staying close to the wagon if they fell off. I'll stretch out my hand so it will be easy for you to get back on. But enjoy your purchases anyway everyone. Sewing hugs everyone.

I have been so good for several months then started a quilt using everything I could find in my stash that was the muted patriotic fabrics Its king size so I figured out I could use up a lot of the left overs however after I got 25 blocks together and I realized wow that's a lot of very loud prints. There was no where for your eyes to rest lol

So dug some more and came up with a few solids and low value but still loud so today I did a rather graceless swan dive off the wagon at the quilt show to add some red and blender type solids I had nothing that wasn't bright then found some dollar fat quarters and then a few other things joined me. Then a few more Awh well I will have used up about 7 yards of stash in this one and I supported the local quilt stores we have now lost four this year in western Washington as I heard of another one going out today

7 yards of stash is a chunk of fabric gone, Altairss and what you bought isn't going to just sit there..so a graceful swan dive it is and happy lab was there to help you back....

I need to by backing for a table mat...about 2/3 of a yard will do...since I already have the binding cut and can't find a red piece to match it...but what if I piece a backing instead....oh I just talked myself out of buying a yard of fabric.....

Sorry about losing another LQS...we hate to see them go....

Oh dear, I scraped my chin on the latest fall from the wagon. The quilt retreat was too tempting. I got a boat-load of fabrics both purchased and gifted that I seemed to think I needed. Will need to do a count. At the last store I got 3 1/2 yards of batik for a backing and 11 yards total of sale fabric for more backing. At the other store I got binding and border fabric for two projects and some Day of the Dead fabric for a 4-square version of the OBW. Always wanted to try that method and never had a large-scale print to do it.

I did quilt my mom's quilt at the retreat (when I wasn't chatting with friends).

Wow, mad that does sound like quite a fall off of the wagon. Do you have pictures so I can live vicariously? I'm so bad...

Good job madquilter, pic is nice to see, especially batiks. Here's a band-aid and hand to climb back on the wagon.

Martina it sounds like fun - scraped chin and all! I was weak and fell as well. 15% on clearance fabric I'd been eyeing for awhile. The fabric will show as a solid (cream). 5 yards. I also think I need to declare a moratorium on quilt paraphernalia as I looked through thread and even needles etc. Definitely enough!

I bought 3.2 yards of Tyvek fabric. I've been wanting to experiment with it, but I'm in the middle of several WIPs and there are another 9 or 10 UFOs that I want to finish this year, so obviously it will be a while before I actually have the time to do something with it. It could be worse, I saw lots of fabric at Craftsy's sale, and also at Connecting Threads and at Hancocks of Paducah.com and all the other on-line shops I've visited and I didn't buy any of those

Now, where to stash it in the meantime since it doesn't fit neatly into any of my normal fabric storage categories.....

Good job Rob on restraining yourself. I know how hard it is to not buy. I just don't go to quilt shops much anymore. I can buy other things and I really have enough fabric to keep myself entertained for a long while.
