What a display, Krystina! Looks like an old fashioned 'airing of the quilts' day.
#383
Thanks, Ladies! PaperPrincess, I wish there were people around to see the airing if only because it might inspire them to come sew with me!

Krystyna, Yes! Won't that be wonderful if your neighbor knocks on your door and says, "I saw your baby quilts on the fence the other day. Do you quilt? Would you like to get together to make a quilt with me some day?"

Here are pix of some the quilts I made for the NICU where my friend works. I did buy flannel for the backing since I didn't have any. They look kind of bunchy from the wash and wind, but they're not. Get ready for photo overload!

Okay, bad me....I had to get some batting and ended up at Joanns last night. Great deal on the batting. But on my way to the register I passed a rack of discounted material and saw a piece that was perfect for my "deer panel" quilt I am trying to finish. And I do mean perfect, so you guessed it, it followed me home. I can't complain though, maybe I didn't actually fall off the wagon, but just dragged a foot. I got a yard piece of $9 material for $2.33 and it is just what I needed for the last border. So I am happy even if I stumbled a little. I did put a red X on my calendar though as purchased material this year, lol.

AnngelAnne, Maybe you were balancing your satisfaction with holding to your goal to not buy fabric and your satisfaction of completing a project to your degree of liking? Anyway, you preferred to make the 'deer panel' quilt top the way you wanted it to be. In the creative process sometimes choosing better over good enough is a lot more satisfactory! I've been there, done that...
