I just got done making a twin quilt from my stash, Used up some of the scraps I didn't want to throw away. Made two crib sheets. I fell of the wagon yesterday and bought one yard of fabric with watermelon on it and a half yard of popcycle print . Going to us the watermelon print for table runners and the popcycle print for grand daughters dress. My daughter Sara ask me to make summer clothes for my granddaughter.

Good for you beckyw...you bought less than you used up, and you have a plan for the new fabric

Yep if I buy fabric for a project already on the table I haven't fallen off of the wagon. At least that's the way I figure it. My problem is that when I get the fabric home it's never quite right for the project I had in mind. Then it goes in the stash.

I put "neutrals" in the same category as solids. To me they are necessary fillers and don't count in the moratorium (UNLESS, solids and neutrals is ALL you use).

I have been cleaning off a counter (well, trying to). Found a leftover batch of a sock-monkey layer cake. I used the "boy" colors and have only the "girl" colors left. So I cut them down to charm size and decided to turn them into a DP9 for community service. I will most likely just finish the top and pass it on. (WAAAAAY too many of my own flimsies waiting to be sandwiched and quilted to take on more new ones.)

I am a moratorium failure I went to a quilt show in my home town and purchased a crib panel with coordinating material for the trim, and....guilty look.....then went to Joann's to pick out the material for the colors my daughter actually WANTS for the little girl they are planning to adopt. I'd like to be honest in saying I didn't have all those colors, but I did have part of 'one'......I feel like I need a 12-step program....

I have been VERY good this year. Only fabric purchases has been one backing and one piece for a gift for my DH which I have used. We are heading South to warmer weather this week. My DH has told me to pick out shops I want to hit. I know I won't be good! I think vacations are exempt, but I am going to try to be somewhat strong and not go overboard on purchasing this time. Now, off to find more shops I want to stop at!

Redstilettos, don't feel too badly about slipping. This is probably the 4th or 5th year I've tried to curb my purchases, AND the first time I've felt anywhere close to successful. We all encourage one another here, along with admitting purchases! Just climb back up with us, and start sewing!!! Lol
