Miriam, I would only put it in the luggage rack disambled not as a whole piece of furniture and the machine will stay inside the van fur sure fur sure!

I love your story about the bench, it's so cute.

Ok, I'm here to say that the spindly legs came off and we took the knee pedal off and are going to pad the thin swing under the machine and it's all going on the bottom of all our camping stuff in the back of the van...over the engine...so DH wants to check the oil and such before we pack it. It did take the 2 of us and 3 screw drivers but it's done!

Miriam we do smoothies all the time too, but I'd have to leave out the avocado and almond butter! I use yogert, banana's (frozen), frozen stawberries, frozen blueberries, and any other frozen fruit we have. Add some 100% juice and yummy - a great dinner on hot days!

Randa, are you saying you have to have meat and potatoes for dinner? Sounds like my Dad! We always had to have meat and potatoes or dinner was not complete! My DH and I do our "linner," lunch and dinner combined in the early afternoon, so technically dinner is something very light around here! Unless the grandkids are here, then I have to cook!

I finished my grandson's birthday quilt last night and posted it this am in the Quilt Photo shop. He is 3 today so boy did I have to rush that quilt out! It is made (almost) entirely with treadles!

No I'm definitely not saying that!! I could eat pnut butter and jelly, a bowl of cereal or a smoothy any day over having to cook meat and potatoes! DH on the other hand is not so inclined that way. He works out in the hot sun and "needs" his sustenance!!! :D

The kicker was when I got it home and set it up for its photo shoot (forgive the barn decor, but I put it there for awhile), I told hubby - - uh, you bought one of these for me about fifteen years ago! (led to a whole new discussion, but he and I both know it doesn't matter because I am sure I have saved the machine's life - - and, if I keep buying them, maybe one day I will own every one ever made ;-) <wave> I really need to learn how to research the dates on these things, eh? anyway, someday <g>

This is like the one Okiepastor has. There were only 5000 of these made, so says Billy. The stitch length area is unique.

Well, my 66-1 showed up on my porch yesterday. And it was packed really really well. I opened it up, and it was wrapped every which way with that plastic foam stuff, plus inside the case it was wrapped all over the machine. They did good!!

She is very very filthy!! Dirt and dust in every oil hole, and the whole body is dusty and dirty. It's going to take me a while to clean her up. She was born in 1909, but someone electrified her and put her in a 1950s case. All her wires are great. I still intend to put her back in treadle. Her decals are Lotus, and in really good condition. I'm HAPPY!!!

Ohhh!! I almost forgot to add...she is a back clamp, and guess what came with....a big box full of all kinds of attachments for her!!! I am really happy about that!!

Who is the resident Featherweight expert here? I started messing with mine, and realized she is so out of time the needle won't even go down the throat.

I need instruction on how to time the hook. I printed off some instructions off the net, but I would really like to know who I can run to when I panic!! :-)
